You can stand,
Possibly without shoes,
With the feet at shoulder distance from each other and the knees slightly bent.
Or you can sit,
With the feet flat on the floor and your hands resting on your legs,
Facing downward.
In both cases,
Keep your back and your head straight.
Your eyes open and the gaze slightly tilted downward in front of you.
Take a few deep breaths.
Now,
Allow the breath to take its natural rhythm.
Listen to it and observe it for a while,
Without trying to change it.
Just let it be.
Now,
Imagine a cloud of various colors that surrounds all of your body.
This is your energy field.
In this moment,
If you feel the need for grounding,
Your energy field is probably concentrated in the upper half of your body,
Around the head and the shoulders,
And not much is left in the lower half.
Therefore with every breath,
We will try bringing some of this energy downward.
Your eyes remain open and your knees remain bent.
If at any time your legs should start hurting,
You can bring your feet closer to each other to a more comfortable position.
Now inhale,
And as you exhale,
This energy cloud slowly descends along your body and spreads in the lower half.
Inhale once again and exhale this energy downward.
It's enough to visualize this process for it to happen on an energetic level.
Your intention is enough.
And inhale once again and exhaling,
Bring all of this energy down towards the feet.
Notice the sensations that each part of the body feels as you bring your attention and your energy to it.
Observe as this fills up the area of the lungs.
Relax into your heart.
Notice the stomach and down into the belly.
And from the belly,
It spreads into the hips.
It flows into the genitals.
It fills the thighs.
Sinks into the knees.
Flows along the calves.
Fills the ankles.
Fills into the feet.
And down into the soles of your feet.
With every breath,
This energy fills your legs.
Rhythmically,
You spread energy throughout all of your body,
Filling every empty space.
This energy could want to rise back to your mind in the form of thoughts.
So with every breath,
Patiently,
You can invite it down again,
Focusing on your body and on the physical sensations.
Now that your energy is well distributed throughout your body,
Focus on your feet.
Visualize roots that from the soles of your feet start growing downward into the earth.
These are your roots.
Your roots are thick and very long.
Your roots penetrate deeply,
Anchoring you to the ground.
Your roots grow downward in front of you,
Behind you and all around you.
Your roots give you a profound sense of stability and balance.
Your roots grow all the way to the center of the earth.
The earth supports you.
The earth protects you.
You're safe on earth.
This sensation is called grounding.
Being grounded gives you a sense of strength and power.
From this place,
You can feel your power flowing through you.
The earth is here to support you in this process.
It has always been and always will be.
The earth sustains you unconditionally,
Giving you the nurturing you need.
At any time of day,
Anywhere you are,
The earth is there.
And so are your roots.
In this intimate bond,
You are grounded.
Your grounding is there,
Always.
The support is there,
Always.
You are safe,
Always.
You are safe.
And you keep repeating it to yourself.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
Keep staying in this space.
Keep feeling the safety of being on this earth,
Of being in your body,
Of being in your life.
Breathing the sense of safety and let it permeate your entire being.
Let every cell of your body be filled with the sense of safety.
And in your own time,
At your own pace,
Slowly come back to the present moment,
Aware of the fact that you can carry the safety with you into your life.
It's always there for you.
At any moment,
You can find your roots and reconnect with them.
You can always come back and rejoin with this deep sense of security.
While keeping contact with your feet and the center of the earth,
Slowly start looking around and connecting with elements of your surrounding.
Let your breath be natural and allow yourself to be in contact with both your roots and the outside world.
You can do both.
You can be in touch with the reality surrounding you and with your own body and grounding.
You can experience the safety of interacting with other people while being securely connected and supported by the earth.
You can move into your life feeling grounded and safe.
You are safe.
You are safe.
