Hello,

And welcome to this guided visualization to help you discover your word,

Your guiding word for the year.

You may be listening to this meditation in January,

Or perhaps you choose a different start date for your year.

Perhaps it is Imbolc,

February 1st,

Or the spring equinox,

The beginning of the astrological new year.

Or maybe you are listening to this at Samhain,

The witch's new year,

The beginning of the Celtic new year as we enter into winter.

Whenever you happen to be listening,

Choosing a word to guide your year is a potent way to stay connected to your intention,

Your desires,

Your dreams,

And your purpose.

And know too that sometimes the word that we choose serves us for a time,

And then we need to let it go,

And reword ourselves.

And you can always come back to this visualization if you feel as though the word that comes through for you today is no longer the word for your year.

So to begin,

Make sure that you're somewhere comfortable,

That you won't be disturbed,

Either seated with your back supported and your feet on the floor,

Or if you choose to be laying down,

That is just fine.

And take a moment to start to connect into your body and your breath,

Allowing yourself to fully arrive in this moment,

In this room.

Closing your eyes or having a soft gaze downward if that feels more comfortable.

Start to deepen your breath,

And as you breathe in,

Visualize yourself breathing in the energy,

The pulsing life force of the earth,

Feeling yourself deeply connected to this planet that sustains and nourishes you,

And that you are intimately a part of.

Feeling that earth energy pulsing through your veins with your own heartbeat,

Your own breath,

Bringing yourself to a place in nature,

In your mind.

This could be somewhere familiar or somewhere entirely new.

Wherever this place in nature is that you find yourself,

Taking a moment to really arrive,

Looking around,

Notice what you see,

Anything you might hear or smell,

Becoming aware of what the ground feels like below your feet or your sit bones.

And in this place in nature,

Opening yourself up,

Calling in a word for guidance.

You may look up into the sky to find your word,

Written in the stars or the clouds.

Perhaps the wind will sigh out your word,

Or the flowers spell it out in the grasses.

Perhaps a guide arrives with your word.

Take some time here now to sink into the space and open the invitation for a word to arrive.

When you feel as though a word has presented itself to you or been presented,

Test it out.

Feel into this word.

Speak your word out loud.

See how it feels in your body,

In your mind.

If it feels true,

Offer thanks to your guide or this space in nature,

Whatever it was that offered up this word for you to claim and embody as you walk through your year.

If it doesn't feel true,

You could even pause the recording,

Rewind it,

And spend a little more time in this place in nature,

Calling in a guiding light,

A guiding word.

Just taking a few more moments here to feel into whatever emotions,

Whatever images,

Any feelings that arise as you hold this word in your heart.

Ever so gently,

Beginning to bring your attention back to your breathing,

Noticing the rise and fall of your ribcage,

Feeling that deep connection,

That interconnectedness to earth and all the other beings on it.

Beginning to wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

Toes,

Making any small movements that feel good.

And when you're ready,

Bringing yourself back into the room and opening your eyes.
