In today's meditation,
We're going to place a final focus on that root chakra.
So we'll do another visualization meditation So for this you might like to get comfortable For this I would recommend considering lying down You might like to sit up whatever is most comfortable for you,
But you will be here for a little while 10 to 15 minutes,
So Get comfortable where you are So if you're seated have your back supported you might like to lean back if you're laying down Have your hands resting by your side Your shoulders evenly placed on the floor or the mat Your feet about hip width apart so it might be a good time now to Shut your eyes if you wish to close your eyes for the practice If you wish to keep your eyes open,
That's okay,
Too.
Just take a soft gaze to a point in front of you settling into position Sinking heavier into the space where you're seated or laying Taking in a couple of deep breaths.
So in through the nose out through the mouth You just start to notice any sensation of touch so You might notice your hands resting on the ground or in your lap You might notice your top lip touching your bottom lip Clothing on skin feet on the floor or the mat notice any sounds near you notice any sounds far away in the distance Just shift your attention to What you might be able to see So if your eyes are eyes are closed just pay attention to that space behind your closed eyes What's appearing there for you now?
If your eyes are open notice any shapes or colors objects now shift your attention to any flavors or tastes in your mouth Just sinking heavier into this position where you lay Really feel that root chakra area around the pelvic floor First three vertebrae you feel that connecting with the earth So envision a cord from the tip of your spine at the very top This cord is running down your back.
It's running down through your root chakra down through your vertebrae down through your pelvic floor the very base of your spine and This cord is flowing down right down into the earth envision this cord Connecting with the earth like tree roots is this cord Intertwines with the earth Connects you to the earth It brings with it a feeling of groundedness of stability Let this cord Anchor you into this moment into this position where you're seated or laying So continue to envision This cord from the very tip of your spine at the top Carrying down through your back Through that root chakra and flowing down into the earth and those tree roots really spreading out to provide a beautifully stable foundation for you Really feel into this connection starting to notice any sounds You might be able to hear in the room where you are any sounds in the distance you notice any Visions or color light shapes That you might be able to see behind your closed eyes You start to notice the bodily sensations you might like to Slowly start to rotate your wrists rotate your ankles Really feel into the body where it's seated or laying at the moment notice If you feel any difference or shifts from before you started this practice You feeling more grounded stable calm rested There's no right or wrong in how you feel here.
Simply observe notice any shifts Be those subtle or quite significant You might like to gently shake the body tap the body after being Resting or laying for this period.
