In this session,
I'll guide you through a visualisation meditation.
In the last session,
I mentioned to bring to mind something that you wanted to feel or do or achieve.
You'll be asked to bring this to mind as you move through this meditation.
Find your position for this meditation now.
Either sitting down or lying down is fine.
Whatever is most comfortable for you in this moment.
Let your body settle in,
Releasing any tension or discomfort that you might be experiencing.
Lowering your shoulders,
Releasing your jaw,
Softening your stomach,
Relaxing your arms and your legs.
Just letting your body melt into a deep relaxation.
If you haven't already,
Gently closing your eyes now.
As your mind body settles further into this position,
Let yourself notice any thoughts that might be arising in the mind.
Without letting yourself attach yourself to any one thought,
Just simply observe the thoughts as they arise and watch them float away,
A bit like a cloud in the sky.
As you let those thoughts go,
Allow yourself to feel lighter and more open as a result.
Observe the breath without changing it in any way,
Simply observing the inhale and the exhale.
Listening out now for any sounds that may be noticeable around you in this moment.
Noticing any shapes or light or colors that may present themselves to you behind those closed eyes.
Feeling your tongue inside your mouth,
Resting against the teeth and the roof of the mouth.
Noticing the entire body,
Resting in the position where you're seated or laying.
Feeling a beautiful sense of openness.
You might like to really open up the chest,
Expand the heart space.
Taking in a deep breath and breathing into this openness.
From this space of openness,
Start to envision what it is that you want to feel,
To do or achieve.
Perhaps you want to feel healthy and happy and content and fulfilled.
You want to try that thing you've been a little bit scared to attempt.
Perhaps you want to achieve that goal or earn that accreditation.
Perhaps it's around relationships,
Community and connections.
Or perhaps you envision financial freedom or time freedom.
Or there's a material item that you've wanted or worked for for so long.
Whatever it is,
Just bring it into your mind's eye and really envision it.
This is your vision.
Nothing is too far-fetched or unachievable.
Continue to observe this vision.
See yourself as if you have achieved what it is that you envision.
Really notice and pay attention to the details.
Details like,
Where are you standing?
What clothes are you wearing?
Who are the people that you've chosen to surround you in this moment?
How do you carry yourself in this moment?
And really hone in on what it feels like for you in this moment,
What it feels like to have achieved this vision.
Soak in those feelings,
Those emotions,
Knowing that you have achieved this.
Let your mind-body feel what it feels like to have achieved this vision.
Perhaps you notice goosebumps of excitement on your skin or the smile spread across your face.
What does it feel like for you?
Feel your chest expand with air as you feel the love,
The excitement,
The joy and the thrill of having achieved this.
Sit in this feeling.
You deserve this.
You're bringing your attention to your breath now.
Observing the in and out breath without changing it.
Allow yourself to drop into a beautiful feeling of gratitude.
Gratitude for this moment,
This practice and the ability to achieve your vision.
Feeling your body resting against the chair or the mat.
Listening out for any sounds in the room near you.
Bringing a little wriggle to your arms and your legs.
A wriggle to your hands and your feet.
When you feel ready and in your own time,
Just opening your eyes.
This meditation is now complete.
This type of meditation allows you to bathe your mind-body in the neurochemistry that would be present if that future event had actually happened.
If you practice this on a regular basis,
You can expect to move in an aligned direction.
Closer to achieving those visions.
You can go one step further and create a vision board or something visual that you walk past every day to further enhance the process.
To influence that subconscious.
To continue to water the proverbial seed in the subconscious mind.
So really have fun with the process.
Thank you for joining me in this session.
