Welcome.

This is a short glimpse practice called Open Sky Mind that is taken from the ancient wisdom tradition of Dzogchen in Tibet,

Where we take a wide or panoramic view of the world and then turn back on itself to feel the open,

Wide panoramic view of our own mind.

So let's begin.

So with your eyes open,

Cast your gaze slightly above the horizon in your room or beyond your room out a window,

And allow your gaze to soften and expand into an open or panoramic awareness.

Look with all your senses open,

Seeing all the objects and feeling all the sensations without blocking anything.

See if you can sense an openness,

A simple awareness of the things that you see,

Hear and feel.

Notice that seeing is receiving,

Light is coming to your eyes and hearing is receiving,

Sound is coming to your ears.

So allow yourself to receive all the objects coming into your senses with this sense of openness and receptivity.

Now very slowly turn this same awareness to the mind that is perceiving these objects.

Instead of looking at the outer space,

Turn inwards to look at your own mind as inner space.

See if you can feel this same sense of openness and receptivity in the outer world,

But in your own mind.

And you may notice that the distinction between inside and outside falls away,

That the distinction between the looker and what's being looked at falls away.

And just maintain this sense of no inside,

No outside for as long as you would like.

Thank you for your practice.
