Welcome to your grounding morning meditation.
Please enjoy this extremely healing and powerful breathing exercise.
Begin in a comfortable seated position with your spine stretched tall and feeling into the seat beneath you.
Now with your right hand,
Cover your right nostril with your thumb.
Breathe into your left nostril.
Switch fingers,
Covering your left nostril with your ring or pinky finger,
And exhale out your right nostril.
Inhale through your right nostril.
Switch fingers,
And exhale left.
Again,
Breathing into the left nostril.
Switch fingers,
And exhale right nostril.
Inhale right.
Switch fingers,
And exhale left.
Inhale left.
Switch fingers,
And exhale right.
Now as you inhale right,
Begin to imagine breathing in air from the base of your spine all the way up.
And as you switch fingers,
And exhale left,
Imagine that breath going down the left hand column of your spine.
Inhale left,
Breath goes up the left column of the spine.
Switch fingers,
And exhale,
Breath goes down the right.
Stay with it,
Stay focused and present,
And take your time.
Inhale right nostril,
Breathing up the right hand side of the spine.
Switch fingers,
And exhale left nostril,
Sending the breath down the left hand side of the spine.
Inhale up the left.
Switch fingers,
And exhale down the right,
All the way down to the base of your spine.
Inhale up the right.
Switch fingers,
Exhale down the left.
Switch fingers,
And exhale down the right.
Continue with this extremely healing exercise on your own time for one more minute.
Stay focused,
Go at your own pace.
There is nowhere you need to be.
Give this one minute of your full undivided attention and presence.
Your mind and body will heal.
Finishing up your last round.
And now let go of the hand.
You have just balanced the thinking mind,
Purified the energy channels along your spine,
And grounded.
Set the intention now to remain grounded in your body today.
Throughout our day,
The mind may try to take over and play tricks on us,
Leading us to overthinking and fear.
May you remain rooted in love and truth today.
May you be aware of the chatter of the mind,
And choose to drop into the body and into the wisdom of your heart.
