As you begin preparing your drink,
Slow down slightly.
Notice what you're doing.
Pouring the water,
Stirring,
Waiting.
No need to rush.
Take one deep breath in and slow breath out.
When your drink is ready,
Hold the cup in your hands.
Notice the warmth.
Take a moment to consider everything that went into this cup.
The plants,
The people,
The process it took to get here.
Take another breath.
Before your first sip,
Pause.
Then take a slow sip and actually taste it.
And as you continue drinking,
Stay present with it.
The warmth,
The flavor,
The act of pausing.
If your mind wanders the day ahead,
That's okay.
Just gently bring your attention back.
Set a simple intention for your day.
Something like,
I'm going to take things step at a time.
Or,
I want to stay calm and focused today.
Finish your drink without rushing.
That's it.
Just a small way to start your day feeling more grounded and clear.
