Welcome to your letting go meditation.
Thank you for joining me here and thank yourself for showing up in this moment and whatever it is that brought you to listen to this meditation know that you're exactly where you're meant to be in this very moment.
When you're ready go ahead and find a comfortable position.
This could be sitting with your spine straight or if it feels good for you to do so you can lie down.
Whatever feels good for you today.
Letting go of the expectation of this needing to be perfect and when you're ready go ahead and gently close the eyes.
If closing your eyes doesn't feel good for you just have a soft gaze in low lighting and I invite you now to take a few deep cleansing breaths.
Inhaling through your nose and then when you're ready exhaling through your mouth.
Coming into this space,
Coming into the present moment.
Letting go of everything that may have happened before this moment and letting go of anything that may happen after this moment and surrender to the here and the now.
As you take another large inhale through your nose and as you exhale think the word release.
Another large inhale through your nose and as you exhale think the word release.
One more in your own time.
Inhale and as you think the word release exhale.
Now I invite you to just breathe however your body wants to breathe in this moment.
We're not manipulating the breath in any way.
As you settle,
Gently releasing,
Surrendering into this moment you may want to let go of your day.
Letting go of your week.
Maybe what's brought you here today is letting go of something that you've been holding on to for a lot longer.
Maybe you're here today because you've been holding on to something so tight.
This may have been a friendship,
A relationship,
Maybe it's a person,
Your career,
A job.
Maybe it's a story you've been holding on to for a lifetime.
Maybe it's a story from your past that you have embedded into your unconscious mind and this no longer serves you.
Maybe it's a title,
Maybe it's an identity.
Whatever it is know that this is a safe space.
It is safe for you to let go.
When we find it hard to let go,
When we're holding on to something so tight,
It tends to come from a lack mindset.
A feeling of lack,
A feeling of you're not gonna get something else.
Maybe it's a feeling of you're not gonna get anyone else that you feel is going to love you.
Maybe it's a case if you feel that you're not good enough to get another job.
You can't let that go.
Maybe it's a case of holding on to the comfort of feeling uncomfortable.
A story that you've been holding on to because you've become used to it.
But actually what is on the other side of letting this go?
Notice where you're holding this.
The emotion,
The feeling.
Is it in your chest?
It is it in your tummy?
Maybe it's in your throat?
Maybe you can feel it everywhere.
Maybe your jaw is tight,
Fists are clenched,
Your shoulders are up near your ears.
What good are you gaining from holding on to something so tight which no longer serves you?
In this moment asking yourself,
Feeling into this,
Can you let go?
When you're ready,
Bring to mind maybe the friendship,
The job,
The story,
The person,
The situation,
That you know that you're ready to let go of.
Something that you've been holding on to but it's been holding you back.
It's been keeping you stuck.
You're suffering.
Notice how holding on has been holding you back.
Holding you back from blossoming,
From growing,
From living,
From happiness,
From freedom.
What are you gaining by holding on?
What are you gaining from letting go?
When we hold on to something so tight,
With clenched fists,
With all of our might,
Notice how it can hurt,
How the grip becomes raw,
How holding on becomes heavy.
Can you give yourself the permission to let go in this moment?
I invite you now to take a large inhale through your nose and as you exhale think the word release.
As you now listen to what I'm about to say,
Where is that ability within you to instantly and permanently stop believing that you can't let go?
Take another large inhale.
As you exhale think the word release.
Be curious about what I've just said.
As I ask you now to start counting in your mind one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Silently carry on until I tell you to release.
Release the counting and take another large inhale through your nose and as you exhale think the word release.
Noticing if there's any difference here now.
If the energy in your chest or your tummy or maybe your throat or wherever else it is that you're holding it in has loosened its grip.
As you slowly start to repeat,
May I know in this moment it is the right time to let go.
May I know in this moment it is safe for me to let go.
In letting go I find freedom.
In letting go I find happiness.
In letting go I create space for more of what it is that I truly desire.
In letting go I find space to welcome in exactly what's meant to be for me.
In letting go I find peace.
In letting go I find clarity.
In letting go I find me.
In letting go I find myself.
In letting go I am safe.
There is so much more to gain when you can let go of something that no longer is serving you.
In moments of feeling like there's lack we can always come back to gratitude and observe around us no matter how big or small what it is that we're grateful for.
Knowing that we are not lacking in anything.
Knowing that we don't need to hold on to something so tight.
Knowing that you are exactly where you're meant to be in this moment.
Knowing that in letting go you find yourself.
Take another large inhale.
Exhale through your mouth as you think the word release.
As you start to come back more into the present moment.
As you start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
You may want to take a little stretch.
Stretching out your arms.
And I'll leave you in this moment.
When you're ready open your eyes.
