Hello everyone.
This is your invitation to find a comfortable position.
Settle in,
Make any adjustments that help you to feel more comfortable.
And let's begin to just notice the breath.
There's no need to change it or make it different.
On your inhale,
Notice the quality of your breath.
Do you notice that there's a temperature?
Do you notice the moving air as it goes through your nostrils?
Can you deepen your breath?
And then let's look at the exhale.
Can you let your body relax completely as the air leaves your body?
Can you allow your shoulders to drop and your belly to be soft?
Now observing what you notice in your body.
If there's any tension,
See if you can breathe into that tension,
Bringing the breath to that area of the body and allowing it to release.
If you're noticing any discomfort or distractions,
Being curious about your sensations you're noticing and see if you can be with that discomfort.
Even if for a few seconds,
Be with it.
And if there is a distraction,
Allow it to be there and to be part of this experience.
Continuing to notice the breath.
Inhale into your body.
And I'm going to invite you to a question.
What would love do now?
And you can use this as a mantra.
And it's not necessary to begin listing options or begin a dialogue.
But simply open yourself up to the possibility and be curious.
What would love do now?
As we go about our day,
We are often triggered,
Surprised,
Caught off guard by so many of the situations and circumstances we find ourselves in.
And we can easily go into blaming,
Guilt,
Shame,
Resentment,
Anger,
Sadness.
And this is a part of life.
It's not good or bad or right or wrong.
It just is.
And maybe as we learn to cultivate space in our lives,
Connecting to our breath and our bodies and finding stillness within us,
We can open ourselves up to this powerful question.
What would love do?
What would love do now?
And maybe this question could help us to reframe our situation.
Maybe this question can soften our hearts and we can breathe and soften our bodies,
Remembering that everything is temporary.
And when we are pushing against our edges of comfort,
It is a temporary position.
What would love do?
What would love do?
What would love do?
I invite you to place your right hand over your heart.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest.
Notice the sensation of your hand on your body.
What would love do now?
And let's take our left hand and place it over our right hand.
Notice if there's any effect of your body.
Is there a deepening of your breath?
Notice any sensations or changes,
Observations.
What would love do now?
And then I invite you to bring a small,
Gentle smile to your lips,
Deepening the inhale,
Bending the exhale.
What would love do now?
Slowly,
Gently,
Let's lower our hands onto the tops of our knees and legs.
Keep full breath,
Softening the shoulders,
Keeping that smile on your face.
Let's slowly flutter our eyes open,
Keeping a soft gaze.
In this moment to reorient yourself into the room that you are in and ask yourself one more time,
What would love do now?
Let's take one final breath together with a deep inhale and a sigh and release.
Thank you all for joining me in this practice.
And may you remember as you go about your day.
Life is temporary.
And may you be curious and ask yourself what would love do?
Thank you all.
