Hello everyone and welcome to another mindful moment.
I have a question for you.
When was the last time you celebrated life?
Playing a victory no matter how big or small.
When was the last time you raised your hands in the air and said,
I did it!
Today we're going to have fun and celebrate.
Every day there are opportunities for celebration.
Many victories like making a perfect cup of coffee or tea.
The sunlight coming through the window that creates a prism on your table or counter.
Some days getting out of bed is a victory in itself.
How about your car starting without any problems?
There are victories to be celebrated all around us and typically we let them pass by.
We take for granted all of the many miracles that we are gifted every day.
You taking time to listen to this message is a victory.
You and I breathing together is a perfect reason for celebration.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and maybe the same is true about victory and celebration.
The more we can rejoice about what is going well for us,
The more we will find.
It is a choice to be grateful.
It is a choice to have a positive perspective.
It is a choice to see the beauty in our pain and victory in our loss and it is a choice to find a reason to celebrate.
We don't have to accomplish huge feats and daring tasks to have a reason to celebrate.
Five minutes of quiet time is a victory.
And when life is challenging,
Getting through the day with a smile on our face is cause for celebration.
So let's have a celebration right now.
Let us sit victoriously finding a comfortable position.
Let's close our eyes,
Connect to our breath and have a little fun.
I invite you to visualize someone putting a gold medal around your neck.
Put a large smile on your face and pretend like someone is also handing you a trophy.
Putting both hands and arms up in the air,
Rising the trophy above your head.
You've won.
And take those hands and fingers,
Open them up nice and wide.
Your chin is high,
Your chest is expanded.
Bask in the moment of joy.
Take it all in.
You've won.
Let us celebrate your victory.
Keeping those arms up in the air,
Take it all in.
Take a deep breath in and sigh with satisfaction.
You've done it.
And as you slowly lower your arms,
Acknowledge your accomplishment of sitting here in presence.
Let your hands come all the way down and rest them lightly in your lap.
You are victorious and this breath is cause for celebration.
Noticing the smile on your face and the expansion of your chest.
Notice the feeling of warmth that comes across your entire body as you realize you've already won.
Just by being here and alive,
Let that settle into your being.
You've already won.
You don't have to do anything.
Connecting to your inhale and a gentle exhale.
Can you accept this moment of wonderment?
How does it feel to celebrate life,
Yourself,
Being alive?
Continue to breathe and smile,
Celebrating this moment in time.
Observing your breath.
Notice how it feels in your body to be a champion.
Feel into the sensation of excitement.
Feeling into gratitude and jubilation.
And if this seems like a bit of a stretch,
Play with the idea.
Why not?
When we take time to pause and rest,
We celebrate the moment,
This moment.
This is an accomplishment.
Whether we are resting for a few breaths or a couple minutes or an hour,
This is a victory.
This is our victory.
And the more we look for reasons to celebrate,
The more plentiful they arrive.
And the more we acknowledge them,
The more we will find.
Continue feeling into your body and notice the connection of your breath to your body.
See if you can keep that celebration in your heart.
Invite yourself to keep that smile.
Inhaling with a smile and maybe even playfully raise your arms again over your head in victory and on the next exhale even give a shout,
Woohoo!
Why not?
Why not have fun?
Why not be ecstatic?
And maybe throughout your day,
You play with this idea of celebration.
I tied my shoes.
Victory is mine.
I got out of bed.
This is cause for celebration.
I just finished my lunch.
I am victorious.
I just fed my cats.
Let me dance in celebration.
Just notice the feeling in your body when you feel alive and excited and silly.
How does it feel to be in celebration of life and all its many miracles?
Inhale through your whole body.
Inhale with a sigh.
Life can be so serious and we can make it more arduous than it needs to be.
Let us find time to play and let loose.
Let us find reasons to be silly and have fun.
Let us celebrate life and all that it offers us.
Let's take in one more breath of celebration.
Deep inhale,
Lifting your chin and smiling,
And exhale in satisfaction and contentment.
You did it.
Let's celebrate our many wins all day and every day.
May you go out into the world feeling victorious and find many reasons for celebration.
Sending you love and high vibrations from my victorious heart to yours.
Thank you for celebrating life.
Thank you.
