In this gentle guided visualisation, you will enter a dome representing your mind and observe your thoughts as colors and images flashing on the walls to help you create distance. You will look at one thought and then contemplate its opposite and how they balance each other, ultimately finding truth in both.

Meditation on duality.

Sit comfortably in a quiet place.

Close your eyes and breathe freely and deeply.

Feel your intention to connect with the force of duality,

The dynamic tension of opposites and the reflection of inner and outer.

Ask for guidance to support you in this process.

Imagine yourself sitting in the center of a dome.

This structure is a representation of your mind.

Take your time and visualize it all around you.

As you look around,

Notice parts of the structure lighting up with different colors or images and then watch them shift or dissolve.

With each passing moment,

The images become clearer and clearer.

Observe how this structure is a reflection of your mind.

Each image or flash of color represents a thought or a feeling.

Take several breaths and shift from observing the whole to focusing on one image,

Color or sensation that arises.

See if you can tell what thought or feeling it represents.

If you can't name it,

Simply feel it.

Ask yourself,

How has this thought or feeling helped me shape my life or color my perception of events?

Now take a moment to determine what the opposite thought or feeling might be.

How would thinking or feeling in this new way shape your life or color your reality?

Observe how both ways of perceiving are simply states of mind and that neither has more validity than the other.

Notice how your internal thoughts,

Feelings and beliefs shape your perception of life.

Contemplate this question,

Where do my thoughts and feelings originate?

Slowly turn your attention back to your body.

Let the questions float around your mind and slowly fade away.

Allow your intuitive intelligence to show you a place in your body that holds the experience of duality and the memory of this meditation.

Take a deep breath and gently stretch in any way that feels good to you.

As thoughts begin to enter your mind,

Remember that through rooting into the wisdom of your body,

You can reconnect to this experience at any time.

When you are ready,

Take a moment to journal,

Draw,

Sing,

Play music,

Dance,

Anything that allows the energy of this meditation to flow through you.

Take a deep breath and slowly stretch in any way that feels good to you.
