Welcome to this exercise based on Martin Brotman's book Improve Your Vision.
We will begin with a relaxing body scan meditation and then exercise our eyes for the last 15 minutes.
Find a peaceful and quiet place and give yourself permission to lie down or remain in a seated position,
Whichever way feels good for you.
Notice where your awareness is and gently guide it to this moment,
To your body and your breath.
Allow your focus and attention to rest in your heart space.
As you are doing the exercises,
Imagine that as each part of the body relaxes,
It glows with white light.
Imagine that you can see it and feel it and as each part of the body relaxes more,
It glows more brightly.
So let's begin by taking a few deep breaths relaxing body and mind with each breath.
Breathe in,
Allow your chest to expand and your tummy to rise.
Gently pose at the top for a count of two,
One and then fully exhale.
Breathe in,
Filling up your lungs with new fresh energy.
Gently pose at the top for a count of two,
One and release all the way out.
One more slow and deep breath in,
Gently pose at the top for a count of two,
One and breathe out emptying your lungs completely.
Now allow your breathing to return to its normal rhythm without any judgement or expectation.
And just notice your inhale and exhale.
And begin relaxing your body with every breath you take,
Bringing your attention to your toes,
Relaxing your feet,
Your ankles,
Your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your upper legs.
Invite a feeling of relaxation into your pelvis,
Your buttocks,
Your lower back,
Abdomen,
Middle back,
Tummy,
Upper back,
Chest.
Now bring your awareness to your shoulders,
Gently relaxing your shoulders.
We tend to hold a lot of weight on our shoulders,
Just let it gently melt down your back,
Relaxing your upper arms,
Elbows,
Lower arms,
Hands and fingers.
Bring your attention to your neck,
Relaxing your neck,
Your throat,
Jaw,
Lips,
Relaxing your cheeks,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
The space behind your eyes,
The muscles around your eyes,
Your ears,
Relaxing your skull,
Relaxing the whole head together.
Take a deep breath in and allow your body to fully relax and rest in this moment.
After reaching your scalp create a picture of how it will be when you can see clearly again and place yourself in the picture.
Imagine yourself after your vision has cleared,
Using your eyes the way you enjoy using them when your vision is clear.
Seeing clearly in an easy and natural way without eye glasses or contact lenses.
Hold the image for 10 seconds.
Then imagine yourself in the office of your eye doctor,
Seeing clearly,
Waiting to see the look on his face when he discovers what you already know that you can see clearly.
Then imagine being examined and seeing the eye chart clearly.
Notice the look on your eye doctor's face.
It's exactly as you imagined it would be.
Hear your eye doctor say,
I don't understand this.
Perhaps we made a mistake with your last prescription because it's definitely too strong for you now.
Thank you surprised eye doctor and go out into the world to enjoy the new dimension your vision presents to you.
The more the scene is pictured and remembered the more strongly the reality is created.
Say to yourself,
My eyes are relaxing now.

Each time I relax like this,

When you say the affirmations,
The positive statements after the visualisation,
Agree with them internally and mean them as you say them.
After relaxing your body,
Bound for one minute with your eyes closed.

Without moving your head,
Move your eyes up and down five times.
Bound for one minute,
