In a busy world, slowing down is a rare commodity. Tune into your body with love and compassion and you will always feel when to slow down and relax without feeling guilty or feeling pressured to do one more thing for the day just to feel complete.

Transcript

Find yourself a comfortable position and gently close your eyes and focus your awareness inward.

Let go of the outside world for a moment.

What does your inner landscape look like?

What do you see?

I invite you to take three mindful breaths,

Breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth.

In your own time,

Feeling the vibrations of each breath moving through your physical body.

When you give yourself permission to slow down,

You open yourself up for awareness and reflection.

Slowing down means listening to the life force that's within you.

Life is ever so busy and the to-do list is never ending.

It's much easier to be busy and constantly distracted by life.

It takes inner strength to allow yourself to slow down.

With every new breath you take,

Slow down even more.

Slowing down your breath,

Slowing down your thoughts.

See if you can notice the space between each in-breath and out-breath.

Notice the space between your thoughts.

It's the ego's desire for us to constantly be on a hamster wheel.

The ego never feels enough and it's constantly pushing for more.

Take a moment to show appreciation and gratitude to all the things that came into your life.

Being grateful for your life,

Your family,

Your friends.

Grateful for your experiences and every new place you visited.

Grateful for a kind person with a beautiful smile.

Remember you are enough just the way you are.

Quietly repeat to yourself,

I am enough.

I've done enough.

I appreciate my life.

I appreciate the people in my life.

I am grateful for all my experiences because I'm learning from them.

Take this moment to connect with your body and notice how you feel in this moment.

Take a couple of deep breaths in and when you're ready,

Just gently open your eyes.

Love this short but very meaningful meditation. You are so correct in stating that it is easy to keep busy, but true strength comes from slowing down and focusing on self.
