Today,
We learn to sit with our discomfort.
Instead of tensing and resisting,
We let our body feel.
Instead of holding our breath,
We release into a long sigh or we cry out.
Instead of immediately letting go,
We settle into the moment just before the surrender.
Any emotions deemed as negative,
Fear,
Anger,
Sadness,
Resentment,
Disgust,
Guilt,
Shame,
Jealousy,
Or anxiety,
We work through them today.
Remember,
These emotions aren't wrong or bad.
They are vital to fully embrace the good that remains.
This is a safe space to fully feel anything you are holding.
Set aside any judgment or shame.
Tell yourself that it is brave to feel the full spectrum of your emotions.
Even if you don't know it yet,
You are healing every day.
You are one step closer to a brighter version of you.
Maybe it won't happen today,
But keep playing this meditation and you will slowly build up the courage and the capacity to heal yourself.
With a breath,
Let's begin.
I invoke the healing powers of Kuan Yin,
The goddess of mercy,
Forgiveness,
And unconditional love.
May we embody her heart today as we instill her grace and nurturing qualities into our session.
May her soft and subtle essence permeate this room,
Bringing a delicate side to our healing So we can be easy on ourselves,
Soften into the unease,
And relax into the pain,
Instead of gripping tightly onto any tension or hard emotions.
Our goal is not to turn a blind eye or renounce what we are feeling.
We want to settle into this feeling space,
Imagining the spaces in your heart,
The color,
The texture,
How fast or slow does it beat.
Now imagine there are double doors on your heart space,
And let these doors creak wide open to reveal a lush rose garden in full bloom.
Feel the lightness in your chest as you open these doors,
Allowing yourself to safely touch the spaces inside of your soul.
Pretend you are the gardener of these roses.
Take control of watering these flowers as if they were your own feelings.
Be gentle,
Taking great care.
Let your own feelings reveal truth to you right now.
I find this comes up as a warming sensation in a particular area of the body,
Where in your body is radiating heat.
Dial into this warmth.
Once you find it,
Focus on this area,
Perhaps placing light pressure on it,
Telling it with a warm,
Soft heart that it's okay to feel deeply in this way.
Repeat after me,
Expressing a heartfelt message to your body.
I am sorry for letting these stored emotions trap deeply into your crevices.
I am here today to safely feel them,
So I can work my way back to healing.
It is safe to feel these emotions in their entirety.
Perhaps tears,
Anger,
Frustration,
Or remorse begin to creep to the surface.
Just know this is a beautiful thing.
We must fully accept our darkness in order to fully express our light.
We cannot have one without the other.
We embody our light more profoundly when we acknowledge the darkness that nestles within it.
We are made to embody both.
Now we sit in unfiltered presence,
Accepting the darkness,
The wholeness.
Give these emotions a sound,
Or whatever feels right to your body.
Give anger a sound by expressing a cry out of the mouth,
And then circling the neck to expel any discomfort that is lodged there.
I sit in loving presence,
Not perfection.
My mind is secondary to my intuition.
It is safe to feel more and think less.
Again,
Continue giving these emotions a sound or a movement.
Instead of bypassing my emotional body,
I lean into the discomfort.
I lean into the pain.
I live a life of embodiment and presence.
Instead of avoidance,
Addiction,
And distraction,
My devotion to this practice will reward me with grace,
Magic,
And success.
Sit gently in silence as you integrate this session into your body and your mind.
Breathing in and out the nose,
Integrating everything that you feel.
Letting the heart rate begin to slow.
Repeat these affirmations.
Say them aloud to seal it into your heart.
I am love.
I am gentle.
I am safe.
I love my imperfections.
I trust my body.
I trust my expression.
I feel deeply,
No matter what.
Breathe in through the nose.
I see the divine in me and the divine in you.
Even through time and space,
I see you and I feel you.
