Today's meditation is about embracing the differences in all of us.
The subtleties that make us unique,
The fragments that may make us feel self-conscious or unlike others are in fact our superpower.
Leaning into those differences makes us feel magnetic and truer to us.
It's in those difficulties,
Those hard moments of tapping into this true self that you slowly chip away at the barrier until you find the utmost peace and understanding that lies deep within.
Bring your awareness now to your heart center.
Put slight pressure on it with your left hand.
Implore it to tell you what you need to know.
Who is the you within that's begging to emerge to the surface?
Embrace those whispers.
And with the eyes closed,
Let's slowly relax into a body scan.
With your legs crossed and your hands facing up ready to receive on the knees,
Gently relax into the feet,
The ankles,
Relax into the shins and the thighs,
Relax the knees,
Relax your hip bones and pelvic area,
Relax the stomach,
Relax the torso,
The chest,
The shoulders and the arms,
Relax the hands and the fingers,
And consciously relax the neck and relax the head,
Relax into the face,
The eyes,
The nose,
And relax the lips.
Your uniqueness is your superpower.
We all harbor the ultimate sense of creativity,
And the uncommon belief is that no matter how your creative expression comes out,
That is the way it's supposed to be.
We are put on this earth to share our creativity,
Even if it's imperfect.
That expression,
In turn,
Inspires the next person to embrace their own sense of power,
Their own sense of inspiration,
Their own sense of intuition.
This creates a world and a planet that is more aware.
Once you truly feel yourself,
The earthly desires fade away in the background.
There's less of a need to consume,
There's less of a need to buy,
To fixate on temporary things.
None of it leaves earth with us,
Only your soul does,
Which reinforces the power of soulful connections,
People that leave a mark on us.
Although we may leave earth before they do,
I truly believe that our souls reunite later,
Reincarnating in a form of a different person or a different object,
And almost feeling like we've known them before.
That is the power of the cycle of life.
Only the soul remains.
As we go a little deeper,
Let's bring some awareness into the room that we're currently in.
You can physically touch the earth below you.
Notice the texture,
Notice how it feels on your fingertips,
You can even wiggle your toes to see if the sensation is different.
Let the ground hold you up,
Release those worries that you're holding with intense tension.
Let mother earth take it all away from you.
I'd like you to visualize now a beam of light that runs through the whole system of the body at a glandular level.
This beam of light begins at the root chakra at the base of your spine,
And it moves up the chakra system,
Up to the sacral chakra,
Then to the solar plexus near the navel.
And this beam of light gets brighter as it moves up to the heart chakra,
And then to the throat chakra,
Then to the third eye chakra in between the two eyes,
And finally to the crown chakra.
As we can't necessarily control this light,
This powerful energy,
This kundalini energy that flows through our body,
The more we're able to visualize it,
The more we allow this energy to move upward and out.
Because it's when it reaches the crown chakra and flows out the top of your head that you start to feel different.
What makes you feel different today after this meditation?
What do you need to let go in order to feel different?
Meditate on your superpower.
What is it that makes you feel the most like you?
Take a deep breath in now,
And a deep breath out through the mouth.
Take a powerful deep breath in through the nose,
And a deep breath out through the mouth.
Finding out your truth starts with recognizing your patterns.
Eliminating anything that doesn't feel right.
Anything that makes you have tension in your heart,
That makes you feel tight and closed.
We don't need to get rid of it as if we're pulling away from it or resisting it,
But just gently give it away.
Give this practice away to someone else who possibly could use it in their life.
Whether it's a person or a ritual,
We are not put on this earth to necessarily do everything and get along with everyone.
And sometimes it takes half a lifetime to get to a place where we understand what we are here to do.
We understand with the most satisfaction,
And we aren't distracted by the noise.
The noise of those around us who try to tell us to do what we think we should do.
In truth,
That is their story,
But perhaps not ours.
Embrace the wisdom of your own inner guide,
Your intuition.
We all have this ability to reign over ourselves with the ultimate spirit sovereignty.
Do not take this power for granted.
You do not need to be any special person with any special skill set to be able to harness this power.
Let's work into some gentle breathing as we move some energy before we close out this practice.
We're going to do a few rounds of breath of fire.
It's quick breathing in through the nose and natural breathing out of the nose.
It sounds like this.
So let's do this for about 30 seconds.
Inhale to start.
Normalize the breath.
Keep the eyes closed.
As we close out our meditation today,
Reflect on the way that you feel now in comparison to how you started.
Give yourself a word.
One word of what you aspire to do this week.
Make it your mantra.
Maybe your word is assertiveness.
You desire to stand up for yourself more,
To set better boundaries,
To show people your inner power.
So let's spend the last few moments meditating on that word.
As you breathe in,
Say the word to yourself,
And as you breathe out,
Say the word again.
Assertiveness.
Assertiveness.
This is the word that makes you different.
This is what makes you stand out in your day-to-day.
Come back to this word whenever you feel like you've lost touch,
Or you've even lost hope in yourself.
This word will place you back into alignment and put you on course.
