Let's begin this meditation by lighting a candle.
Sit with a flicker and become mesmerized by the fire,
Letting it invigorate your body,
Sending light throughout,
Feeling into the warmth.
Today's meditation is about letting go of the past and easing up on our resistance towards change.
This makes room for so much more in our lives.
We think that letting go means forgetting and not loving what was there,
But it's really just about shedding a version of ourselves that we have outgrown,
Letting our soul bloom in a different way.
We always remember the past with tenderness,
But today we no longer have the burden of carrying the weight.
We may not fully understand this new version of ourselves yet,
And that's okay.
Truly that's the point,
Is that we do it with faith,
Knowing that what's coming is even better for us,
That knowing it's meant for us.
It's just more of a feeling than a fact.
Tell yourself now that it's safe to loosen your grip and let go.
How does it feel in your body when you say that aloud?

Do you feel your shoulders relax,
Less tension,
Perhaps more presence?
It's in the moments of waiting and listening,
In the full surrender,
That we peel back the veil to our realness.
The careful movements,
The slow breath,
That feel like nothing at first.
This is when we unearth our inner being,
To see who we really are underneath it all.
Laying bare,
Naked on the ground,
We choose to not feel ashamed,
But rather inspired by the beauty that remains.
Settle into your body now,
As you let the words move through you.
Relax the head,
Relax the eyes,
The ears,
And the mouth.
Relax the nose.
Relax your neck.
Relax the chest and the shoulders,
The elbows and the arms.
Relax the hands and the fingers.
Relax the torso and the stomach.
Relax the hips.
Relax the thighs,
The buttocks,
The knees.
Relax the calves.
Relax your ankles.
Relax the feet and the toes.
Let your body melt into the earth.
Bring awareness now to your solar plexus,
Near the belly button.
This is the center for your own self-perception and expression.
Use the navel point to be vulnerable and honest with yourself,
About what needs to be cleared out and released.
Physically press on your stomach as you do this.
Focus intentionally on the navel as you let whatever needs to drop in happen now.
What needs to gently move aside to make room for more abundance in your life.

Once you identify it,
We can consciously and ever so delicately release it.
Not to be forgotten,
But to be nurtured and held on its own.
Visualize what needs to be let go.
Whether it's a person,
A memory,
A moment in time,
A feeling.
Imagine it playing out in front of you as if you were in conversation with it.
Let the memories play out like a movie.
Feel the emotions you hold close with affection as you continue to watch and listen.
Let it move in slow motion.
Reflect now on how much this memory has played a part in your life.
Repeat the following phrases.
I love this memory.
It is a part of me.
But now I need to move on from it.
Will you let me do that?

Imagine severing the cord between you and the memory.
Letting it dissipate and fall away.
Let go of the ties you hold.
Sit in the feeling you have now.
The mood may have shifted from nostalgia to a moment of pain or loss.
Allow your body to process these emotions right now.
You must feel it to transmute it.
Sit quietly,
Letting your body feel it all on a deep level.
Be patient and let your nervous system reacclimate to this new identity.
Place a hand again on the belly and check in.
Tell yourself now,
I am safe to let go.
There is so much beauty coming my way.
I trust and have faith for what is in store.
I feel renewed.
Shine a ray of light throughout your body.
Imagine this bright light clearing space within you.
Reorganizing,
Decluttering,
And removing any stale energy.
You are not the same as when you began here today.
You are not the same.
Remind yourself of the power of your mind and how capable you are of shifting your own reality.
Say to yourself,
I am forever changed.
I am a work of art.
I accept new love and blessings.
Take this feeling with you.
Hold it in your body.
