Welcome back,
Beautiful sensitive heart,
To another guided meditation.
Today's intention is to help you meet the part that is hurting.
This will be a 20-minute guided meditation for addiction recovery,
Self-compassion,
And going within to self-soothe.
Getting comfortable and starting to drop in.
When you're ready you can close your eyes.
And as you are starting to connect to yourself,
A reminder that Today this experience is offered as a supportive practice for anyone that is experiencing any kind of addiction or compulsive coping patterns.
This journey today is not a substitute for any professional medical or mental health care,
But rather a space to cultivate deep loving self-compassion,
Emotional awareness,
And the kinder relationship with the parts of ourselves that are deeply hurting.
If you're on the recovery journey today,
I hope this meditation offers you a moment of support,
Presence,
And deep peace.
With that,
Let us breathe in together,
Breathing in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
You may hear today wind and forest ambient sounds.
As I recall with today's meditation in the mountains of Maiolo,
Italy,
The nature is here to also hold you.
So as you continue to breathe,
As you continue to find comfort.
Allow all that is present here with us to hold you.
To remind you of how safe you are.
Remind you it's okay to let go.
Breathing in through the nose.
Yeah,
Through the mail.
In this time together.
I want to invite you to know that.
In this space with me,
You don't have to win a battle.
You do not have to prove your strength.
You do not need to pretend you are okay.
Today we are going to be curious.
We're going to be curious for what is underneath our addictive patterns.
Beneath the behaviors that we judge,
Often so harshly.
We're going to sit here in this safe container,
Not to escape any fear,
Not to quiet any loneliness,
To feel deeply held.
To feel deeply.
Protected.
To hold the intention on our heart.
To being willing to understand.
Breathing in.
Out through the mouth,
Letting go.
Going again,
Breathing in.
And out through the mouth,
Letting go.
And we'll do another breath,
This time on the exhale.
I invite you to exhale with a tone.
Breathing in.
And exhale with a tone.
Continuing to breathe at your own pace.
With softness and ease.
Feeling your body Noticing your feet,
Your legs your hips,
Your lower back.
Your chest and neck.
Your head.
Allowing your body in this moment to remind you of what supports you.
Feels like.
Because healing,
Whether it is connected to addiction or not,
Does not begin with perfection.
It often begins when your body and your nervous system still safe enough to stop running.
Breathing in with me.
And out relaxing.
We are now going to use our visualization muscles,
Our inner eye.
To imagine yourself.
Walking along a path.
Quiet.
Forest path.
The air is calm.
You can hear the rustling of the leaves.
And ahead of you.
You see.
A quaint and small and inviting wooden cabin.
This warm,
Simple,
Peaceful world.
Invites you forward.
And wights you forward as if it's been.
Waiting for you.
As you step forward and enter this peaceful,
Safe space.
Inside you immediately notice.
And C.
A younger version.
Of you.
This version of you could be a child,
A teenager.
A young man or woman.
Most likely has been forgotten.
Observe this part and version of you and take a seat.
Slide them.
And as you sit.
I invite you to take a deep breath with me and this part.
Breathing in.
And out.
And with me repeating to this part.
Today,
I'm not here to judge you.
Today,
I am here to understand.
And in the silence.
That is present here.
Allow and give the space for this part of you respond in a way that feels natural.
Perhaps a response with words.
Perhaps a response with emotion and feeling.
Perhaps a response with a specific memory.
Whatever comes through,
Be the space that holds.
Be the space that loves.
Be the space that offers.
Safety.
Breathing in again with me.
And.
.
.
I invite you now to imagine this beautiful younger part of you,
This part that is hurting,
Holding.
A heavy sack.
This heavy sack.
Is not filled with objects.
Things.
But rather filled with.
Experiences.
Painful.
Elements.
Fear,
Loneliness.
Rejection,
Stress.
Grief,
Shame.
There it is.
Not just what the sack holds.
But how long this part of you has been carrying it?
And now.
With all of the compassion in your heart.
Ask this part.
May I.
May I.
And together.
Place the sack on the ground.
And as you do.
.
.
Allow each.
Story,
Each emotion,
Each heaviness,
Feeling.
Be removed.
Acknowledging not from.
Judgment.
Or negativity.
Acknowledging that none of this was meant to be carried alone.
And as you observe.
.
.
And give permission to let go.
Start to see this younger part already standing.
Toma.
Taking another deep breath with me.
In the middle of this cabin.
With this.
That is starting to feel less and less in pain.
We now observe a.
.
.
Cleansing ball of water.
And there's water.
You choose in this moment to be your tool of Compassionate cleansing.
As you lean and move towards this cleansing.
Water,
This cleansing tool.
Placing both hands inside.
And with each cleansing.
Movement,
But each time your hands enter the water they come up to meet your face.
And as water drips.
So do old voices.
Voices.
That speak of you being broken.
Voices.
Of how things will never change.
Voices of judgment and wrongness.
Each time your hands enter the water and bring it up to your face,
Feel these stories of fear,
Of pain,
Of negativity,
Washing.
Away.
Feel your nervous system.
Grounding back into.
Peace.
Grounding back into the truth.
Breathing in with me.
And out.
And finally here today in hell.
In our relationship,
Compassionate relationship with this part of you that has been hurting.
You see yourself turning once more.
To this younger version.
And as this.
Present you speaks to the past you.
Here in this moment,
I invite you to share any words of loving affirmation.
As your future self to past self.
Any words of groundedness?
Any words of kindness or compassion?
Any words of comfort.
Speaking them either out loud or internally with your hand on your heart.
And speaking them.
While simultaneously receiving them fully.
Breathing in their warmth.
Out expanding.
Breathing in that warmth.
Expanding.
Sitting here.
For a few more moments in this connection and silence.
Noticing the state you are in.
And intending Come back here.
When any inevitable.
Addictive patterns arise.
You,
Dear heart.
Are so powerful,
So loving.
So kind and compassionate.
And you deserve.
Off all of that.
To all your parts that still hurt.
So we will breathe in this intention.
And when you're ready.
You can peacefully and easefully allow this cabin and this part of you to fade.
Knowing it is never going anywhere.
Bringing your awareness back into your body,
Wiggling your toes and your feet.
Wiggling your hands.
And wait.
Grace and softness.
When you're ready,
Opening your eyes and coming back.
Remembering.
How capable and loving you are.
You always can be.
