Welcome,
Beautiful heart,
Back to another guided meditation with your host,
Harrison.
Today's intention is to help you to stop taking everything so personally.
This will be a 20-minute guided experience for highly sensitive people,
Emotional boundaries,
Self-trust,
And coming back to inner peace.
Let us drop in.
Closing your eyes,
If they're not closed already and finding a comfortable position.
Either sitting or lying down.
Whatever allows your body to soften.
And with me,
As always,
Taking our first big breath in through the nose,
Breathing in.
And.
.
.
Going again into the nose.
And out through the mouth.
Today we are here for the moments when Someone outside of you said something,
Looked at you a certain way,
Didn't respond,
Changed their tone,
Seemed distant.
Something inside of you instantly,
Immediately,
Thought.
It's because of me.
I am the reason.
Perhaps you wondered,
Did I do something wrong?
And they upset.
Do they not like me?
Sensitive hearts and sensitive souls this can happen.
You notice a pause,
An expression,
A silence.
Because you are so sensitive and you notice so much.
Your mind sometimes wanders off and tells a story about who you are.
Today we're practicing something different.
We are not becoming uncaring.
We are not becoming detached.
We're not pretending that other people's behavior doesn't matter.
But today we are learning to create a little space between what happened and what you decided it meant.
So let us breathe in already some of this space.
Breathing.
And out.
Repeating silently after me,
I can notice without making everything about me.
I can do this.
Without making everything about me.
And allowing these.
Words to ring true and through your body.
As you focus on the weight of your body itself in your chair,
In your bed.
You sit for a moment in gratitude.
For this body that holds you,
For this vessel that holds you.
Holds your sensitive heart.
And now we get to imagine.
Seeing yourself,
Seeing this body,
Seeing this vessel that holds the sensitive heart sitting beside a quiet river.
The water is moving gently.
You do not need to go anywhere,
You do not need to change anything.
Or simply sitting behind.
And beside the river.
Watching.
Observing.
River doesn't need to hold onto anything.
Water comes and the water goes.
As the water shifts and flows onward.
You notice leaves that float.
Interview.
These leaves are simply here to be watched and observed.
And the river.
Represents your awareness.
Your awareness that.
.
.
Holds all passing experience.
Thoughts,
Feelings,
Memories.
Reactions.
Other people's moods,
Things you notice,
Things you wonder about.
Take a breath with me.
Before we breathe again,
This time as you breathe,
Create space as this river holding these leaves that float through your awareness.
Breathing in.
Now start to see in this river visualization.
Imagine that one particular leaf.
Starts to float towards you.
Written upon this leaf.
Are the words.
They didn't answer my message.
They didn't want to talk to me.
They sounded quiet.
They were angry with me.
They disagreed with me.
I've done something wrong.
Each leaf coming closer.
Each leaf moving on.
Some leaves are what happens.
Some leaves are stories that we create around the world.
You do not.
Need to throw the leaves away.
You do not.
To argue with any of them.
And you do not need to convince yourself that your interpretation is wrong.
Simply with me.
Notice and breathe.
And.
Simply notice and breathe.
Continue to breathe at your own pace,
Watching.
The river.
Continuing to remain present.
Here with me.
Holding and loving on you.
And observe now.
Higher quantity of leaves appearing down the stream.
This time.
The leaves carry the emotions of other people.
Someone else's frustration.
Someone else's disappointment.
Someone else's anxiety and expectations.
Someone else's opinion.
Watch them float.
Towards you and notice the old impulse inside of your heart.
I need to pick this up.
I need to fix this.
I need to make them feel better.
I need to understand what they are feeling.
Today,
Here,
In this moment.
You do not.
To pick up the leaf.
You can let it pass.
Their emotions belong to the river.
Their thoughts belong to their river.
Their reactions belong to their river.
And here,
With me,
You have your own.
Breathing in.
And.
.
.
Taking your hand and placing it on your heart and repeating.
Silently in your inner world.
I can care without carrying.
Another leaf passes.
I can listen without absorption.
Another leaf passes.
I can love without taking responsibility for everything someone feels.
Another leaf passes.
I choose.
What I carry.
Another leaf passes.
Feel this space in your body.
Feel that you are not becoming closed.
You aren't pushing anyone away.
Simply allowing things to move instead of collecting them inside of your heart.
Instead of collecting them inside of your body and your vessel.
Breathing in more space.
And down.
I'm finally here today.
That has come fully back.
To our souls too.
Version of us beside the river.
Notice something very important.
Something I invite you to take with you.
As you leave today's meditation.
The river itself is moving.
Continuing on.
.
.
You.
You are not.
The leaves are moving,
The water itself ripples and flows,
But you are still.
Thoughts move.
Emotions move.
Other people's reactions.
External events and circumstances move.
And underneath all of it.
Underneath of everything.
There is you.
Present.
Aware.
And grounded.
You do not have to stop the river,
Control the leaves.
Or force and push.
Anything that it carries.
You simply need to remain connected to yourself.
Connected to your breath.
Connected to your body,
Your feet,
Your hands,
Your chest.
Uh huh.
So breathe deeply into this anchor,
Breathing in.
And.
.
.
Breathe deeply into this anchor.
I leave you with these words of intentional prayer.
Can let life move around you.
Do not have to hold everything that passes through.
You can remain open and remain deeply grounded.
You belong to yourself.
With your hand still in your heart.
Feeling your heartbeat.
Feeling.
The love that empowers you,
The love that guides you.
To love.
That will always invite you to return home to yourself,
Beyond.
What anyone ever says,
What beyond whatever anyone ever means.
Beyond all right and wrong.
It will guide you back.
Breathing in this trust.
Sitting here.
For a few moments in this love,
In this connection to yourself.
And with softness and ease.
With this love beating through you.
This love beating through your sensitive,
Caring,
Open hearted self.
When you're ready.
Moving through your vessel and your body,
You can slowly open your eyes and come back into the room.
Into the world with your sensitive,
Powerful heart.
