Yoga’s eight limbs begin with Yamas and Niyamas. Chinese philosophy has Yin Yang. To be in the universal flow means to recognize the restful awareness, practice letting go, and finally merge in the experience of the emptiness. You recognize this balance and return to the invisible whole in the present moment of perception, organization, and experience. This practice explores how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be interconnected and interdependent. Namaste

Welcome to the art of doing nothing.

A bird needs two wings to fly.

The sun shows us dawn and dusk.

Life is a dance between birth and impermanence.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves we live in this world where we harmonize opposites.

Bring your sweet awareness to your heart,

The feeling center.

Touch your heart with the fist of one hand and the palm of the other.

The heart's location in the body is no coincidence.

It resides in the center of the chest cavity in between the left and the right side of your lungs.

Every communication between the gut to the brain and the brain to the gut passes through the heart.

Meet your heart with touch.

Feel your hands on your heart and feel the heartbeat into your hands.

The heart is a point of integration,

Of love.

Pause and notice the heart.

The heart reminds you of the rhythm of life living itself.

Next,

Bring your focus to the crown of your head,

The thinking center.

Notice what you're thinking and the feelings related with it.

The thoughts may activate feelings of happiness and sometimes despair.

Both anger and joy reside here.

You may notice your perceptions live here.

All your emotional states are experienced here.

The mind is a point of control,

Of power.

Pause and notice the mind.

Mind reminds you of the beauty of experience,

Experiencing itself.

Now,

Rest your awareness on the touch of your breath.

Notice where you're breathing from,

The left or the right nostril.

Notice if the breath is cool on the inhalation and warm on the exhalation.

Or simply give attention to the rise and fall of the body as you breathe.

The breath is a point of expansion and integration,

Both love and power.

Pause and notice the breath.

That reminds you of the spirit of creation and surrender,

The essence itself.

Now,

Bring your attention to the relationship between these opposing energies of love and power,

Yin and yang.

You may notice their oppositional tension,

But you may also notice their connection.

They don't exist without each other.

Yang without yin is dividing,

Like power without love.

Yin without yang is diffusing,

Like love without purpose.

We need both in our lives,

But the secret of living lies in nurturing both,

Balancing both,

Accepting both.

When we accept what is in this very moment without the push or the pull,

When there is no drifting after or drifting away,

We find in our practice a deep feeling of contentment.

Feeling is key to the present moment.

It anchors us in this experience.

Un envoy,

You you
