Welcome to the art of doing nothing.
Meditation is simply the art of letting go.
The sacred awareness of returning from the sight,
Sound and sensations back to your true nature.
Imagine now you're at the edge of a mountain.
For a moment,
Let go of your name,
Your story,
Any task you have planned and any distraction that holds your thought.
Settle into the sanctuary of nothingness.
Let everything slip away and dissolve.
When the world tugs and nudges you again,
Practice forgetting.
Allow yourself to move away from the world drama,
Your stories,
Screen of your mind and even the sensations in the body.
Rest your awareness in this place of quiet,
Stillness and silence.
Practice.
You are not the body,
You have a body.
You are not the mind,
You have a mind.
You are not the breath,
You have a breath.
You are not even the story you tell yourself,
You are beyond.
Be an observer,
Observing the movement and the happening in the world.
The you that is observing is calm,
Rested and aware.
Practice is your true nature.
Sense the sinner sanctuary,
The ease of being.
Soften the edges of the mind and let go.
Remember this practice of letting go,
Forgetting and releasing and returning to your natural state of being.
A place within you that is at ease and at peace with what is.
You don't have to strive,
You simply have to let go.
Now return to the sight,
Sound and sensations in the space around you.
But with refreshed energy,
Like you are coming back from a restful sleep.
As you go about your day,
Remember you have a choice of letting go and returning to the state of restful awareness anytime.
