Welcome to the art of doing nothing.

Sometimes to experience something new,

One simply must clear the mind.

When the mind is washed of the past stories,

Thoughts and all its habitual patterns,

One can begin to experience the new.

Space is an invitation to let go.

Take a moment now to enter a quiet space.

In this still space,

Forget the world,

Your worries and any heaviness in the body.

One of the most powerful things we can do in stillness is learn the art to abandon effort.

To heal,

One must relinquish control,

The hold on things,

Events and people in our life.

When we move to the still experience,

We begin to hear the sound of the self.

In forgetting everything of this world or of it,

I remember my true self.

Imagine you're standing in front of a beautiful ocean.

Every wave that comes towards you brings with it a message,

A message to abandon effort,

To let go,

To forget.

Every wave with it washes away any feelings of density,

Any heaviness.

Now those waves of silence to take you more and more into the depth of stillness.

Very slowly come back to the room and the sight and sounds around you.

And just for these past few moments,

You were not a captive of the old or the new.

You were present.

You left the world of the right or the wrong,

Of judgments and entered the field of effortless action.

This is perhaps the greatest mystery of human existence.

Every time you abandon effort and go inside,

The outside world has less meaning.

The more you empty your mind of the world drama,

The more full your inner space becomes of peace,

Of stillness and of silence.

However,

Only in stillness can the sound of the self be heard.
