Well done for making some special time for mindfulness.
During this short mindfulness meditation,
You will have the opportunity to feel calm and practice being present.
This means thinking about and feeling only what is happening right now.
We are actually very powerful when we focus all our energy in the present moment.
This also helps us to feel really good within ourselves.
To begin,
Make sure your body is relaxed.
Either sitting up in a comfortable position or lying down.
Feel the surface supporting you as you relax into it.
Gently close your eyes.
Let's start by focusing on your breathing.
Take three deep breaths in and out.
Breathe all the way down to your belly and just let the air flow out naturally.
Wonderful.
Just notice the air as it flows in and out of your body.
Now bring your awareness to your senses.
First,
Focus on your sense of hearing.
Notice three different sounds you can hear right now.
Some of these sounds might be near and some far away.
Just listen and notice them.
Next,
Bring your awareness to your sense of taste.
Observe three tastes in your mouth at the moment.
Gently taste them and be aware that they are there.
Now tune into your sense of smell.
Each three fragrances can you smell right now.
Gently become aware of these smells around you.
Next,
Bring your awareness to your sense of sight.
Open your eyes and see three things around you you perhaps wouldn't usually notice.
Just observe them with your eyes.
And now you may close your eyes again.
Focus now on your sense of touch.
Feel three different things around you.
Just notice what they feel like with your fingers.
Now with your mind and heart,
Feel the energy in your body.
Notice all of your energy in your head,
Arms,
Middle,
Legs and feet.
Can you feel how much amazing energy there is in your body?
This is what it is to be present.
Being aware of your energy field.
Remember there is only one of you in the whole world and your energy is extremely special.
Take a long deep breath in and a slow breath out.
Bring your awareness back into the room.
And slowly open your eyes.
You may keep this lovely calm feeling inside of you for as long as you wish.
You may return to this mindfulness meditation whenever you feel like it.
