Hi,
My name is Elizabeth.
Thank you for joining me as I guide you through an evening meditation to rest your busy mind and body.
It has been a long day.
Stretch your tired body.
You've done so well today.
Allow yourself to settle wherever you feel comfortable.
If it is in your bed,
Allow yourself to sink into it.
Find a comfortable position.
Ah,
This is good.
Breathe with me a few breaths as we prepare to begin this evening meditation.
Breathe in 2,
3,
4.
Hold 2,
3,
4.
Breathe out 2,
3,
4.
Hold 2,
3,
4.
Breathe in 2,
3,
4.
Hold 2,
3,
4.
Breathe out.
Allow your breath to fall into a natural rhythm as we continue.
Bring awareness to your feet.
Massage them with your thoughts.
You've walked many miles.
They've done a good job taking you where you needed to go.
Gently follow the muscles up your calves.
Try to soften your knees and thighs.
Relax your glute muscles,
Your hips.
If there is any tightness in your stomach,
Try with each breath to lovingly release any tension,
Any anxiety,
Any worry.
Breathe in calm into your chest and exhale any sensation that is not serving you right now.
Relax your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingers.
Release any stress in your back and neck going up to your head.
Allow your shoulders to relax.
Unclench your jaws.
Relax your tongue.
Let your eyelids rest where they want to.
Maybe they want to close if they haven't already.
Imagine you are surrounded by a beautiful natural setting,
Somewhere tranquil.
And there you are undisturbed with my voice keeping you company.
Finding comfort and relaxation as your tired body finds relief from any tension in your mind and body.
If you are under a duvet or blanket,
Feel the weight of your covering on your body.
You are being held.
Feel how your weight is being supported.
You are being carried.
There is no need to carry anything.
All your thoughts and worries,
Let them go.
You are being welcomed to lay it all down.
Gently lay your heavy thoughts down.
The mind is magnificent.
It deserves to rest.
Observe yourself.
Feel the sensations in your body.
Where there is tension,
Let your thoughts massage any tightness.
Send softening,
Loving thoughts to every tight spot in your body.
With each deep breath,
Intend to release one more burden.
You are welcome to do so.
It is safe to do so.
You are being supported.
You are being held.
It is time for you to rest.
There is no need for you to carry anything right now.
No need for solving anything right now.
Right now belongs to you.
It is fully yours to relax,
To feel held,
To rest.
Life is teeming around you,
Joyfully doing its work,
To join your living and breathing.
The birds are building their nests and singing lullabies about their day,
Acknowledging the life in you,
Winding down.
The wind is tickling a leaf from a tree.
You watch it as it allows itself to tumble to the ground.
It doesn't resist.
When it's time for its change,
It allows the elements to shift it to its new chapter.
Life is dynamic.
It lives and breathes and so do you.
You are part of this beautiful orchestra,
This ecosystem.
You are its precious child and as such,
Life itself is holding you in an embrace,
Rocking you to sleep,
Speaking sweet affirmations into your spirit.
You are precious.
You are loved.
Let that sink in.
You matter.
You are here for a reason.
You are a light.
Let that truth feed your soul as you rest.
You are the warmth of life.
Let that thought simmer and with these thoughts,
I wish you a pleasant rest.
Feel free to repeat this meditation or come back to it to rest your mind and body.
Blessings,
Light and love.
Sweet rest.
God conservatives need some freedom.
You
