Thank you for attending to yourself,
For meeting yourself in this sacred place.
It is my honour and joy to guide you into this meditation as you wind down.
Wind down,
My love.
You've done that which your body and mind required.
It is time to put down your work where you left it.
Trust the process.
Trust yourself enough to know that you have called yourself to rest.
And it is time to rest.
Well done for knowing and meeting this need to rest.
Look back and bow to your day with thanks to the breath of life.
It has sustained you during your work.
It has carried you,
Pumped your body with the necessary vitality.
We give thanks.
Before we go into a deeper relaxation with some conscious breathing,
Allow yourself to lay down and let go of anything that belongs to the light of day.
May the following brief pause of my voice allow you to consider what you wish to lay down with thanks.
I'll go first.
Thank you for my unfinished chores.
They overwhelm me at times.
I'm happy to lay them down.
I am happy where I left them,
With the knowledge that I can't do it all and I don't need it too.
I did what I could.
I have compassion for myself.
I kissed my kids goodnight and that matters more than the pile of dishes I can deal with if I'm blessed to see tomorrow.
Your turn.
What are you laying down with thanks?
Thank you for making peace with any unfinished work,
Physically and emotionally.
We all hold heavy emotions at times.
I'm here to say to you,
My love,
Lay them down.
It is time.
You deserve this rest.
Just focus on your breathing.
Breathe deep,
Beloved.
Draw in the breath of love and restoration.
Hold two,
Three,
Four and gently release any tension,
Any pain,
Any heavy thoughts or feelings you carry.
You are allowed to rest.
And not only that,
How do you think you will gain strength to deal with what you must?
You owe it to yourself to be at your best,
Your strongest mentally,
Emotionally and otherwise.
Breathe,
Beloved,
Make it deep and draw in the healing touch of the divine.
Hold it like your life depends on it.
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Slowly release the darkness you have been clasping onto.
Allow the lightness of self-forgiveness and compassion to cleanse your mind and heart.
You must make space for light.
By simply releasing the need to hold on to the darkness,
It will ease.
A simple thought,
A simple decision,
Yes,
I choose life.
Yes,
I will be open to goodness.
Yes,
I will choose peace.
And so on.
My love,
You have opened the door to light and blessings.
Breathe in a final deep and joyful breath and release it slowly with a sigh.
And a smile,
My love,
You did it,
You did it.
You allowed yourself to rest into your body.
I will let you go deeper into yourself,
Meet yourself where you are with words of healing.
You did well,
My love,
You did.
I watched you during the day handling some challenges and yes,
You have come from far to be able to manage how you did.
We close with deep gratitude.
Tomorrow,
My love,
Is going to be a wonderful day.
Thank you today for your lessons,
Your blessings,
For new experiences,
For new thoughts,
For a new sunrise unlike any other in history of time.
Thank you that I got to experience the thoughts and emotions I did today.
