This is an eyes-open guided meditation which leads you into a sense of dissolving the barriers of a standard view of a divided world into a taste of non-duality. It should be used while seated on a cushion or a chair, in a comfortable meditation pose, and staying completely still for the duration of the meditation.

Like.

Start by relaxing into the cushion.

Seated spine straight.

Eyes open.

Just let all your weight go onto the cushion.

Sinking deeper and deeper.

Allowing yourself to be fully held.

No effort needed.

Notice the parts of the body that relax when you do this.

Make a mental note of these.

These are the areas you're pulling away from the earth constantly.

Opening yourself up.

They're a strong factor in your continued illusion of a sense of self.

Notice where these are in your body.

Notice how when you fully sink into the cushion,

Those points of tension just melt away.

The body feels softer or vivid.

Somebody feels less and less tense.

These holding bands of tension,

Tension of self start to dissolve.

Noticing how when the body relaxes more and more,

The breath starts to soften automatically.

Almost feels like the breath is just falling in and out of the body.

It's like the atmosphere is breathing you.

You don't have to do anything.

The air just naturally comes in.

You close out.

No effort.

Really sensing into the world breathing you.

Really just see it as well.

Everything in your visual perception.

It's also breathing you.

It's almost like the whole visual field collapsing into your in-breath.

And you just suck in the entire visual field with no effort.

Just falls into you on the in-breath.

And then just bursts back into being the visual field on the out-breath.

Like your whole experience,

Not just your visual experience but your auditory experience,

Your internal experience,

Your thoughts,

Your emotions,

Your body,

The environment.

Everything just disappears into the in-breath until there's nothing left.

And bursts back forth into your sensory experience on the out-breath.

Time,

Sensory experience,

Reborn every second.

Do you realise there is nothing you can hold onto in this sensory experience?

Because everything is just disappearing into complete emptiness and bursting back forth in every moment.

You start to see that nothing is real.

Nothing is solid.

Every time it bursts back forth it's different.

It's being able to stay with that constant difference.

Absolutely okay and nothing solid.

And nothing's real.

Everything is different in every single moment.

See if you can stay with that experience for as long as you can,

Holding the view.

And hold simultaneously the fact that your sensory experience seems real,

Seems to be happening to you.

You can also see that in every single moment there is also nothing here,

Nothing happening.

Nothing that you think is happening is different in every single moment.

See if you can stay with that emptiness and form,

Form and emptiness.

Make sure you're holding the visual field as fast as possible.

Feel the sense that there is an experience and simultaneously there is no experience.

There is nothing happening.

You can hold vast expansive awareness in all directions at the same time and start to see the whole of this experience,

Everything arising.

It's exactly the same.

Even these instructions are bursting forth in every moment,

Different than you.

Now conception of what's coming next.

The words just come and no one's speaking them.

When no one speaks,

There is no effort.

There's no thought.

There's no contraction.

There's no individual self in this feeling.

What's going on now?

What are those words?

Because that's timeless experience.

It's spaceless,

Thoughtless,

Complete emptiness where it all arises from.

It's spaceless,

Thoughtless,

Complete emptiness where it all arises from.

And start to know.

Start to notice any objects you see in your awareness.

See if you can hold one of them while simultaneously holding vast expansive awareness.

Like this and do both at the same time.

And then notice how the sensation of that object you're looking at.

Compare it to the sensation you normally associate with you,

The sense of being you.

Like you're able to maintain the focus on the object without losing the vast expansive awareness.

You'll probably start to notice it's impossible without a difference between these two sensations.

And it's not just this one object.

You notice it with everything in your video experience.

The sensation of it all.

It's identical to that sensation of what you perceive as watching it.

Notice how the somatic experience of the visual field and the somatic experience of you are exactly the same.

And then you start to realize the reason they're exactly the same.

It's just because there's no difference between the two.

It's all one sensation.

It's a pulse boundary in your awareness that you place there to try and understand your experience.

Like a big glass door opening that used to be the boundary between you and the outside world.

Notice when that glass door opens,

The infinity goes up and down in all directions.

That glass door opens.

It all feels like you.

And you realize there never was a difference.

You were the one that placed that imaginary boundary between you and a perceived other.

As you put it there,

You can take it away.

It's impossible to find something beyond the Sierra Leone Hills' middle.
