This is Guri.
I welcome you to the chakra series and I will be your guide throughout your journey.
In this series,
We are going to cover the basics of chakras.
For example,
Why we need to balance our chakras,
The functionality of each chakra,
Starting with the introduction of seven chakras.
We will focus on each chakra every day through a guided meditation.
Through these guided meditations,
You're going to bring harmony into your life and manifest your intentions.
Before we start,
I would like you to find yourself in the moment.
This will help you to pay more attention to this experience with more openness and curiosity.
Let's take a minute and practice awareness of the present moment.
You can sit in a comfortable position.
Allow your eyes to close.
Feel yourself sitting here.
Feel the weight of your body on the floor or on the chair.
Bring your awareness on your breath,
Becoming more and more aware of your breath.
Take this experience as you just found yourself breathing for the first time.
Let the breathing happen naturally without controlling it in any way.
The simple inhale and exhale.
Now,
Slowly open your eyes and notice how you feel in this moment.
As you're now more aware than before,
Let's move forward.
If you have any knowledge of chakras,
Or even if you're new,
We're going to talk about the traditional chakra system.
According to the traditional chakra system,
There are seven major chakras in your body that have specific functions.
They can be visualized as discs of light,
Vibrating and spinning from the pelvic floor to the top of your head.
Even though there are other chakras in your body,
We are covering the seven major chakras.
When you work with your chakras,
You're tapping into your energy body.
If your chakras are not balanced,
You might see ongoing issues with your physical or even emotional body.
This means to have a healthy physical body,
Your energy body must be healthy.
In other words,
Your chakras need to be balanced.
Think about chakras as your day to day need.
To breathe,
You need oxygen.
To survive,
You need food.
And to flourish in life,
You need to cleanse and clear your chakras.
There are two reasons your chakras can be imbalanced.
When the energy flow in the chakras is excessive,
Or the energy flow is deficient.
When you work with your chakras,
You tend to balance them,
Which means the energy that is flowing into each of your chakras is not too much and not too low.
You hit the sweet spot.
Ask yourself these questions to find out if your chakra needs some love.
Do you suffer from any physical pain regularly?
Do you often get moody?
Have you ever suffered or regularly suffer from anxiety,
Stress and depression?
Are you scared of the world?
Are you scared of being alone?
Do you suffer from insomnia?
Do you have low self-esteem and confidence?
Do you not feel loved?
Or is it hard for you to give love to others?
Even there are a lot of other challenges that can come up when your chakras are not aligned.
But if you answered yes to some of these questions,
It may be time to work with your chakras.
Out of 7 chakras,
First we have Muladhara or root chakra.
The location of this chakra is at the base of the spine,
In conjunction with your pelvic floor and is red in color.
This chakra includes your basic needs such as food,
Water,
Shelter and safety as well as your emotional needs,
Such as letting go of fear.
Having a strong and balanced root chakra will act as a foundation of your life.
Second we have Swadhisthana or sacral chakra.
It is responsible for your emotions,
Sexuality,
Vitality,
Your creativity and is located below your navel near your genitals and it is orange in color.
Third chakra is called Manipura or solar plexus.
It is responsible for your personal power,
Action,
Self-belief,
Self-reliance and self-worth.
It is located above your belly and below your chest in the solar plexus region to be precise.
It is yellow in color.
Then we have Anahata or heart chakra which is the fourth chakra according to the traditional chakra system.
It is responsible for relationships,
Compassion,
Love for yourself and love for others.
It is located in the center of your chest and it is green in color.
Also,
When you have issues related to the chest,
Lungs,
Heart,
Arms,
Hands or even issues with codependency,
Manipulation,
Unworthiness and not being able to trust others or yourself,
This means your heart chakra needs some love.
Vashudha or throat chakra is the fifth major chakra in your body.
It is located in your throat or neck region and its color is turquoise blue.
Its main purpose is communication and creativity.
When you work with the energy of throat chakra,
You become better at communicating your thoughts,
Feelings,
Hopes and dreams and also deeply hear what others have to say.
Then at number six,
We have Ajna or Agnya,
An English third eye chakra.
It is located in between your eyebrows and is indigo blue in color.
It is responsible for your intuition,
Clairvoyance,
Telepathy,
Lucid dreaming and visualization.
This chakra when balanced is also beneficial for your manifestations.
Then we have Sahasrara or crown chakra and this is the seventh chakra in your body.
Its main purpose is understanding.
This chakra is about merging with the divine consciousness and realizing your true nature.
It is located in cerebral cortex or in plain English at the top of your head and is purple in color.
When there is imbalance in your crown chakra,
You seem to be confused,
Overwhelmed,
Spiritually addicted,
Have limiting beliefs and being disconnected to your spirit.
Now you have pretty good basic understanding of the chakras.
This will help you to locate and focus on the chakras that need your attention.
In the next few days,
We are going to heal and balance each chakra one by one,
Starting with root chakra.
At the end,
We will do a full seven chakra healing through a guided meditation.
So get excited and be ready to make some positive changes in your life.
This is Guri.
I will see you in the next class,
Sending you love,
Light and healing from my heart to your heart.
Namaste.
