Namaste and welcome to the guided meditation session for today.

My name is Somya and I will be your humble guide for the practice today.

The session has been designed to be a little bit different from our usual sessions.

Today you and I will be tapping into the childlike innocence that exists within all of us with the help of a simple song.

This song has been inspired from the Plum Village which is a buddha school by Thich Nhat Hanh.

So with that being said,

Let's get ready for our practice today.

To begin the practice,

Get into a comfortable posture of your choice.

I recommend seated up on your yoga mat or on your chair ensuring that your back is nice and straight but not stiff.

You can perhaps roll your shoulders forward up and back a couple of times to relax any tension that may have accumulated in your upper back.

And then gently rest your palms on your thighs,

Palms facing up towards the ceiling or you can also cup them in your lap.

Make sure that your elbows are close to the body.

There is no tension anywhere in your arms,

In your back.

So if you need a couple of cushions to make yourself more comfortable by placing the cushion underneath you or perhaps behind your lower back you may do so now.

And once you feel settled and comfortable in the posture of your choice I would lovingly invite you to close your eyes and just become aware of your breathing.

Not trying to change it in any way but just bringing your awareness back to your breath.

Breathing in,

I'm aware that I'm breathing in.

Breathing out,

I'm aware that I'm breathing out.

Meditation is not about doing it right,

Meditation is not about doing it right,

It is all about dropping all effort and just allowing yourself to be.

So I will sing the song for you first so that you know what it's all about and whenever you feel ready you may join me.

Hmm Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Nowhere to go,

Nothing to do.

No longer in a hurry.

Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Somewhere to go,

Something to do.

I don't need to hurry.

Hmm Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Nowhere to go,

Nothing to do.

No longer in a hurry.

Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Somewhere to go,

Something to do.

I don't need to hurry.

Hmm Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Nowhere to go,

Nothing to do.

No longer in a hurry.

Happiness is here and now.

I have dropped my worries.

Somewhere to go,

Something to do.

I don't need to hurry.

Hmm Stay here a little bit longer and just stay in this meditative posture,

This meditative place within.

Or if you're ready to come out,

You may gently begin to move your fingers and toes.

Perhaps rub your palms together,

Generate some heat.

And with a lot of love and presence,

Lift your palms up,

Press them on your eyes.

And gently lower your palms down to your chest,

To your belly.

Sliding them down back to your thighs.

And with the next inhale,

You may gently open your eyes.

Thank you so much for joining me in this guided session today.

If you enjoyed your practice,

I would love for you to become a part of the community.
