Let us start our journey today and today's journey we have to talk about four types of sorrow in the suffering and that is four types of sorrow in the suffering is the outcome of the previous sessions that we have done.
Almost we have done 20 sessions.
So I was just talking about effort like a crow.
You all remember I think effort like a crow,
Focus like a crane and the sleep like a dog and filter the thoughts.
You are constantly aware filter like and then the.

And moderation in diet means you know we are asking God you know I like for example,
For example I'm just giving you I like pasta with a lot of cheese but my stomach is not able to digest that cheese.
So what I am praying to the God,
God why don't you give me another stomach leave this stomach aside.
Give me two stomach.
That is an extreme case of ignorance.
We don't recognize,
We don't realize,
We don't realize,
We don't.
So how the how that awakening will take place when we do not able to take over our life.
So I was just talking effort like a crow.
Yes I made an effort but I was lazy last week you know.
I made an effort to wake up at 6 but I woke up at 7.
It will not work.
So it is not an effort like a crow.
So we have to apply,
We have to use these this knowledge to bring about a change in our life.
If the change is not coming then that is why I am attending your session.
Someday the change will happen.
No,
You are responsible for the change.
So you see how it works,
How it plays in the journey of the self-discovery.
So there are two possibilities with everyone.
We have intention or desires for the wealth,
Recognition and many more to gain some powers plus also desire for realization.
Mind is already habituated to have those pleasures and the desires.
So the chances are there that the pleasures and the challenges of the world will take over the desire for freedom.
That is one possibility and they both can go together.
There is no no issue.
Then the second possibility is that your mind is totally clear.
The final goal of life is the freedom,
Is the self-discovery and the other goals are not the goals but the means.
You use them as a means.
So that is a higher seeker.
So what happens to that higher seeker?
Then hundred percent application of these four principles.
You know I just talked about crows are like a crow.
I never make an effort but in the beginning I have to push.
I don't push.
I've been trying you know for last how many months?
We have been trying in the entire life but there is no change and then we say this business of self-discovery and this spirituality is just a waste of time.
Who decided?
I.
My mind in ignorance and then the third possibility is that now gradually by learning these principles I reached,
My mind has reached to a state where I wake up in the morning the first desire,
The first thought is the self-discovery.
I sleep in the night the first desire is the self-discovery.
Others,
My professional life,
My social life is going on,
Continue,
Continue.
That continues.
So what is going to happen?
Your mind you have reached to a state of the calmness.
You are poised.
Your mind is not going to the other stuff.
You are able to bring it back.
That is the third possibility.
I think you have understood the first possibility.
You keep all the desires plus a desire for the freedom and second possibility you have only intention of the self-discovery.
Yeah second one.
Now there is another possibility we have to understand.
You should clear your mind about this,
This business of spirituality etc.
So a seeker that claims I have the desires for the material world plus a desire for the freedom.
Now there is another possibility comes.
That because of undertaking this journey your mind becomes very clear and you are able to get more money.
So you give the responsibility that it is because of the spirituality meditation I am getting more money.
It has nothing to do with it.
But because your mind is clear you became more creative and it is possible.
But now I am talking the another possibility.
Another possibility is that as you continue the journey without break you are committed.
You get some mental powers but the knowledge of the self-knowledge is too far.
That spirituality is too far.
That is also possibility.
Powers are there.
Yes powers are there.
Then there is another possibility that we may be,
We may be,
You know I'm using myself also.
We may be totally stupid but we have lot of powers.
There is no self-knowledge.
It will not work.
I explained you the entire scenario.
So what happens if my mind has deep-rooted impressions to get those powers to get all those pleasures we will start running after those people who show some,
So who demonstrate some powers.
Oh I have lot of vibrations.
You know who doesn't have vibrations in the body?
Who doesn't have it?
Tell me.
So you see that I have very deep embedded impressions inside.
I'm not able to express it but I'm attracted to those powers.
So what happens?
Oh I will go to Kundalini meditation,
Chakra meditation.
They are meant for purification of the mind only.
Be very clear.
So I fall into hallucinations,
Vibrations,
Energy,
Chakra healing and you don't have any powers but you are awakened.
You are awakened.
We are going little deeper step by step.
So all these practices helps us to purify the mind to reach there.

Masterji is still alive.
Masterji has lot of powers.
When I first met him almost 25 years ago,
He said I will give you those powers.
You are capable.
I said that can it help me towards my evolution?
No they will not help.
I said I'm not interested.
But to say that you need such a strong attitude and it comes with effort like a crow,
Focus like a crane,
Sleep like a dog,
Filter your thoughts which are not necessary,
Then only it happens.
Otherwise it does not help.
Otherwise we are living in intellectual hallucinations and paralysis.
So you understand all these possibilities.
So you discover that where you are frustrated,
Why you are frustrated in this journey.
So you can remove those frustration and ultimately you can get out of it.
More than 500 people,
When I used to go to this master,
His name is Masterji we say.
More than 500 people used to stand in a line to seek his blessing because he uses those powers.
But not all the time those powers are corrected.
It depends on many factors and over 92,
93 he is still living,
He is still using those powers.
Possible.
All these things are possible in this journey.
So once we are 100% clear then the things works fine.
So we started the journey understanding the impurities of the mind.
In the last two sessions if you,
No no you all remember I know,
Four root weaknesses.
Now understand that four root weaknesses.
Desire and the desire triggers the mind.
Mind is already agitated.
Now this mind is already agitated because of the desire and now I have decided to wake up in the morning one hour earlier.
Now agitation is already there and that has created a repeated thoughts in the mind.
You will not be able to wake up and then what happens the fear.
We discussed about the fear at length.
So these are the four root weaknesses.
So what is the result?
One is the grief or the suffering in our daily life and the delusion.
You wake up in the morning,
I'm very upset you know today.
In the afternoon I got the food of my choice and then I'm very happy.
I have certain pleasures.
I got little more money.
Yesterday one private client was saying,
Sir if I stop paying you,
I said if you are willing I will continue.
Did you have any thought that I should pay little more because you are teaching me something extra?
You don't have that thought.
So I have already recognized you where your thought process is working.
Don't tell me anything.
So that results into the last time we took up last session,
The suffering and the delusion takes over and we also discussed about the hypocrisy and we injure,
We cause the mental injury to our mind.
You are waking up late,
You are lazy,
You are not relaxed completely in taking over your personal,
Professional and social life.
You are doing a mental and emotional injury to yourself and that is going to accumulate more and more and then we say there is nothing is happening,
Nothing is happening.
Obviously nothing will happen.
You have to listen to it again.
There are five or six possibilities in my journey.
So what is inside me that decides the journey of your life.
What I'm going to speak,
It must have some impression inside.
Do you agree that?
What I'm going to express,
The way I'm going to express,
It must have the impression inside.
I'm laying a foundation for the next session also.
So that impression inside my mind which I'm not aware is expressed in the thought gives me an idea and the intention.
What is my attitude towards the life?
But in today's session after understanding the four root weaknesses and these four challenges,
Now these four root weaknesses and the four challenges give rise to the four types of sorrow.
It gives the four types.
So you just include all kinds of sorrow,
Pain and the suffering in your life.
So we can classify them into four categories.
So remember it started with the impurities we discussed and ultimately in the last couple of the sessions we talked about four root weaknesses and the four challenges.
In the last session the grief and the delusion and the hypocrisy and the emotional dependence and the intellectual paralysis that causes the mental injury.

You wake up at 1.
What is more important journey of the self-discovery or taking a flight?
You don't have a luxury to be late.
Do you see that?
No,
No,
That is a different thing.
So what is a different thing?
Don't challenge this,
You know.
You might if you're thinking do not.

I'm not challenging you.
Come to the four types of this sorrow.
So now see the sorrows or the suffering or anxiety or the tension where you blame and complain.
Sorrow caused by other beings.
That is one type of the sorrow.
It may be son,
It may be honey,
It may be friend,
It may be anyone.
Sorrows due to the natural events.
That is second type of the sorrow.
Third is the sorrow due to the bodily affliction,
Bodily changes.
I'm not going to be 65,
I was just talking to.
I've already expressed that now it's the 65.
So let us have an aging.
Now I want that my eye bags should not be there at the age of the 65.
Is it possible?
No,
I don't want to accept it.
Come on.
Come on.
My hair should remain black.
We are opposing our own identity,
Our own.
We want that even at the age of 65,
People should touch my cheeks like in a five years old.
I should accept.
Sorrow due to the bodily changes,
Body affliction or diseases.
And the fourth one is sorrows due to the sleep of ignorance,
Sleep of ignorance.
These are the four types of the sorrows we suffer in our everyday life.
Whether you are Bill Gates,
Elon Musk,
You are President Biden or we are normal people.
Every human being has one or more.
Their intensity,
Intensity may be less or more depending on my,
Depending on my,
On the last two sessions,
Depending on the last two sessions.
And how those last two session plays out five types of secrets.
I told you we may remain stupid.
With a lot of powers.
And we are awakened,
No powers.
But do you see awakening has its own power.
And that person does not afflicted with these four types of the sorrow,
The sorrow from other beings,
How to deal with it.
Other human beings are the prime cause for most of our sorrows.
If my mind feels,
I also feel that major,
The people outside are also responsible for my pleasure and also responsible for my pain.
So what is the nature of my mind?
You come,
You are responsible for my pleasure.
Second guy comes,
You're responsible for my pain.
Just pay attention.
We start blaming our parents.
We start blaming the society.
We start blaming honey and long list.
So you see that what happens first,
I think about a person,
Then that thought contains a desire.
The desire has an expectation.
My expectation is not fulfilled by you.
Then I have sorrow.
It is fulfilled by you.
Then I have pleasure.
Second time you do not fulfill my pleasure.
So I have a sorrow.
Who is responsible?
Who is responsible?
I have to find out.
I did not see that likes causes the joy,
Dislike causes the sorrow.
I did not see it is happening in my mind.
We discussed couple of weeks ago.
We did not discuss it.
What is required?
What is the solution?
Live in the giving nature.
Have the compassion.
Compassion should not be practiced.
You have to live in that state of compassion.
That is the solution.
Why?
To keep my mind free.
So when I keep my mind free,
Not thinking that the sorrow is coming from the other people because of the likes and dislikes,
Not because of other people.
I can tell you from the day one,
It changes your life.
You are relaxed and calm.
Otherwise,
What happens?
You have a disliking for the sun's attitude.
You wake up in the morning.
Oh,
My goodness.
Again,
I have to take care of this crazy sun.
You wake up in the morning.
You don't go rightly with the terms of with your honey.
And you wake up in the morning.
You look at the honey.
Internal.
There is an internal expression that changes completely.
Who is responsible for it?
Think of it.
Think.
I can talk about Terry was totally disturbed by the maid.
She changed so many maids.
Did you get out of that anxiety?
No.
You look at the look at the way our masters talk.
It makes us understand our own journey.

So that is sorrow from the other beings.
This master uses the word compassion.
Sorrows due to the natural events.

I was just reading the it was 117 yesterday in Phoenix.
It is so much hard.
Can you change it?
No.
So what should I what attitude I should have?
I should have an attitude of endurance.
I should prevent myself.
I should not blame the part of the nature.
I do not have control over the nature,
Whether it's too much of cold.
I have a preference,
But it does not mean that I cannot endure.
I always have a preference of cold weather.
Used to live in the Himalayas with my master.
Lot of snowfall is there.
But there also you have a two feet of snow in the New Jersey.
So master is teaching.
You have to check.
You have to become aware of the nature.
Don't allow the changes in the nature to change your mindset.
Are you getting it?
I don't change my mindset.
I acclimatize.
I have a higher level of adaptability.
And same thing applies in the first case also.
Now I know my dad or my mom or my this guy or my son is.
I have to adapt so that my mind should remain in the state of the calmness not to be dictated and affected by neither the nature nor the people and the events outside.
That person is ready.
That person is a great seeker.
Now you understand we are going at a subtler level.
Who has to become a seeker that sorrow from oneself.
Sorrow from oneself.
You wake up in the morning and you remember the person.
That guy made me totally crazy.
You are hurting yourself.
You are in your house.
You wake up.
It is a fresh morning.
Better you should go into meditation rather than thinking about others.
So I'm harming myself.
Did it happen to you?
Don't say yes or no.
You know it better.
We all know it.
We all have the same problem.
And that is caused by the emotional dependence,
Intellectual paralysis,
Intellectual fantasy.
And if it becomes at the level of an obsession,
Then you have an anxiety.
You have schizophrenia.
You have a duality.
You have a conflict.
It goes at the higher level.
Because I live in imagined stress.
And that is how I hurt myself.
When faced with the problems arising due to one's own mind,
What comes to our assistance is the strength we get from the practice.
So the moment you have those thoughts in the morning,
Do you remember a false like a crow?
No,
That does not come to my mind.
Then you will suffer.
99% of the suffering is caused by the third reason.
The way we think,
The way we perceive,
The way we project the world outside.
And then we start taking the self medication.
Understand this very clearly.
So when you have a clear understanding,
You wake up in the morning and you say,
Why the heck my mind is thinking about the others?
Let me think about myself.
Let me go into relaxation.
Let me go into meditation.
You see the withdrawal of the mind?
Effort like a crow.
I have to do it regularly until the mind stops completely thinking when you wake up in the morning or when you sleep and go to the bed.
There is no other thought about the world.
Sleep means you are saying goodbye to the world.
No,
No,
But I'm more intelligent.
So I have to think a lot before I sleep.
You see that?
I'm more intelligent.
I'm not able to take over.
Why I'm not able to take over?
There are two aspects,
Will and the desire.
So will comes by the regular practice and understanding the effort like a crow,
Focus like a crane,
Filtering the thoughts that is not required.
You see that that that creates a will.
And now the desire takes over me.
And then I go to the doctor.
I did not sleep for a week.
And doctor says,
This guy is telling a lie.
No one can afford to sleep for one week.
Or take these pills,
Sedatives.
What they are doing that you can do easily in your life.
So that is the third one.
And the sorrows from the cosmic ignorance,
If I use the word,
Understand this,
All the sorrows originate from this.
By chance,
We are born and mother is awakened,
Realized.
It happened.
It happened in a couple of cases with our masters.
But think,
Our parents are fully awakened and they help me to treat the path of awakening.
So I start my journey removing the cosmic ignorance.
Why we say cosmic ignorance?
Because we don't know who we are when we are born.
We only knew crying.
So that mom may feed me.
So I was living in ignorance until I raised,
I grew.
I live at the level of the self-awareness.
And fortunately,
Or because of my impressions from the past life,
Two things,
I'm fortunate that you meet someone who says,
Live your life with the self-awareness.
Then I start thinking about it.
This is the real life.
This is the false side.
What is the purpose of my life?
So the fourth is the cosmic ignorance,
Because,
But if I continue to live with that ignorance,
The first three sufferings,
Which can easily be avoided,
You cannot avoid it.
Everyone looks so serious.
No,
It's not so serious.
It's an understanding when I have to understand in my life.
So the more you understand,
So the cosmic ignorance to remove that we have to uproot that cosmic ignorance and to uproot that cosmic ignorance.
What is that ignorance?
Misconception.
What is that misconception?
I don't know who am I,
What exactly is the world and what is the existence?
Only pick up three questions.
And if you clearly answer the three questions,
That is known as awakening.

Why I am happy looking at the person B.
Why I am frustrated in this event.
Why I am happy in the other event.
You know that,
That defines my attitude and personality.
It is such a in-depth hair splitting analysis of our personality and attitude in our life.
And the more we get it,
The more clarity we get it.
So what happens?
You got upset in the next moment you recognize why you got upset.
It is because of this factor.
So now you are ready to minimize that factor in your life.
So that nothing in the world can cause you any misery.
To keep your mind at that level of the peace and happiness.
That we are going to take up in our next lesson.
Close your eyes and being comfortable.
Eyes are closed.
And what I said every time in this sessions,
Check you have no struggle.
You have no struggle.
Again that struggle comes under one of the four categories of the sorrows.
Because you have chosen to meditate and the mind says no means.
So that is why we used to do being comfortable and being carefree.
So we are not doing.
We are already advanced seekers.
Oh I'm happy that you told me I'm an advanced seeker.

Don't allow the intellectual paralysis to take over.
We have to remain aware throughout your life in all the situation,
Conditions,
Living.
So we directly going into the mantra Sarvesham Swasthir Bhavatu.
You are singing in your mind.

Sarvesham Swasthir Bhavatu.
Let everyone be happy.
May there be happiness in all.
So you have already understood variety of ways we expanded this line.
Happiness is our essential nature.
Do I focus my mind that happiness is my essential nature and still I can watch and see the crazy thoughts,
Unwelcome thoughts are coming and going.
But on one thought my mind is focused like a crane.
You see that you have to apply these verses,
These principles should become your own.

So you start the day with the peace or infusing the idea of a peace.
Is it intellectual fantasy?
No,
It is a reality.
Why it is a reality?
I have been seeking the peace all the time in all the locations and that's why I started this journey.
I want to recognize and realize my nature.
I'm giving you another perspective.
How it comes to your mind when you contemplate and reflect when you do the repeat listening.
It will never happen otherwise.

Can you relate this to the cosmic ignorance?
Due to the cosmic ignorance I feel a sense of incompleteness.
Sense of incompleteness results in four root weaknesses and effect is other four aspects that we discussed last time.
Do you see the cosmic ignorance?
It doesn't mean that I should not lead a professional and personal life.
I should not earn the money.
No way.
But not with the sense of incompleteness.
Then no profession can give you this stress in your life.
That is the secret.
That is the secret of the spirituality.

You wake up in the morning.
Do you see you are living in that auspicious moment?

What others are doing is none of your business.
So that gives an understanding of how to get rid of the first type of the sorrow.
Sorrow is caused by either people.
Sorrow is caused by the nature the same auspiciousness.
Thank you God you have given me an opportunity to endure such a heat.
That's a part of the nature I cannot change or cold.
Or that is the key because we want to change the mind.
What does it mean by changing the mind?
We want to live at a higher awareness.
I want to see the entire situation,
Condition,
People,
Relations in my life at from the 50th floor.
So you see everything from the 50th floor.
You don't see from the ground floor.
Why you don't see?
Because I'm entangled.
I'm attached.
But we will also continue our journey with our breathing practices not only to purify the mind but to help the mind to settle.
So looking inside the forehead,
Looking inside the forehead in the space.

Pick a point in this space.
Drop Om Shanti and start breathing from the chest.
Quick short breath from the ribcage.
Why I said so that you experience consciously that you are expanding and contracting the ribcage.
Continue quick and short breath through both the nostrils.
You are enjoying the breathing.
If you are enjoying the breathing means what?
Effort like a crow,
My friend.
That is known as an effort like a crow.
Effort like a crow does not mean that you are crying and you are reacting too much and it demands only an awareness,
Commitment.
That commitment comes that you have only one desire.
Other are the means of the life.
That is why I picked up that topic.
So continue quick and short breath.

Sensation,
Comfort and steadiness continues in the body and you overall you are aware.
You are behind that who is watching.
Everything is happening smoothly.
So continue.
So and stop this.
Do nothing.
When you do nothing is the moment you recognize the changes.
You accept the changes and without any preference.
If you have a preference of a particular vision or color they will come in the go.
That is not our goal.
They will come.
Cognitive ability to recognize these changes will help the mind to settle in these practices and it increases.
I discussed also if I'm aware if I remember the will versus the desire.
It increases your will by repeat listening in the practice.
Now go on Om Shanti deep inside the forehead at a point in the space.
Body remains in that state and now start breathing from the belly.
Longer breath.
It's a longer breath.
Make sure every time you inhale the belly expands.
Every time you exhale the belly contacts and the squeezes so that you are able to maintain your awareness.
To be able to maintain that awareness of the whole practice is more important even than anything else.
So the breathing is the secondary.
That awareness is the primary.
That perception is the primary and one day what will happen even whether you're doing the breathing or not you are in that state.
That is what we are looking for my friends.
Pay attention.
So continue the journey.
Your mind is not hesitated.
Continuing the breathing.
Body remain in that state.
If the body starts moving here and there it is caused again by the mind.
So it doesn't matter if it is happening.
We just be aware.
So continue.
Continue breathing into the belly.
Om Shanti continues and expansion in the contraction of the belly with every exhalation and the inhalation.
And stop this.
One thing more you need to understand before doing the third type of the breathing where we inhale first into the belly then into the ribcage.
We exhale from the belly and the ribcage.
So this rhythm,
If it is maintained by the mind,
The mind goes very deep.
Some sort of initial stage of the meditative stage is achieved and it is very challenging and difficult.
And that challenge can be overcome only by awareness,
Clarity.
Let us start with Om Shanti and start breathing both from the belly and the ribcage.
First you inhale into the belly and the ribcage.
It is a long deep and the hissing breath continues.
That is why I use the hissing.
You will also discover the inhalation.
For some the inhalation is okay but the exhalation is very fast.
Typically it happens in just an expulsion.
We have to find the rhythm.
The moment you find the rhythm you'll discover another level of your awareness.
So continue,
Continue and stop this.
Just become aware of the flow of the breath in the right nostril.
We have achieved that level of awareness and attention to distinct,
To see the flow of the breath whether they are equal from the right and the left nostril or they are different.
And you will find there is a difference.
If you find the difference,
We have to continue this breathing.
That is,
That needs to be achieved.
And then pay attention to the flow of the breath in the left nostril.
And just find if they are equal,
Their flow is just the same.
You know if the flow is the same,
You are already in the state of self-absorption.
How come?
That is what happens.
We have those experiences are already there,
Vision,
Colors,
Tingling,
Numbness.
They are always there but we are going for a subtler change.
Both flow is equal,
The mind is involved moving.
It says,
Now I'm settled within.
Tell me what to do.
Look inside the cave of the heart,
Looking,
Visualize the triangle of any color.
Move the mind.
It becomes such a smooth and joyful journey.
Om Shanti on each side of the triangle,
Looking inside the cave of your heart.
And when you see the sink while clockwise and anti-clockwise,
Then move the mind inside the cave of the heart through the triangle singing mentally.
Om and you see the mind has gone deeper inside,
Seemingly stops.
If you say Shanti,
Do nothing.
That emptiness is totally,
That darkness is totally different from the projected darkness we experience when we close our eyes.
I'm just making you fully aware.
You are the master of yourself and now the japa,
Om Shanti.
You already know.
You are engaging the senses in the mind itself.
Om Shanti.
Om Shanti.
And here there is no,
No issue.
You visualize this segment of a index finger and you're saying Om Shanti.
So all the four sense organs,
The touch,
The sound,
The listening and the seeing go together.
One way you see,
You're merging the senses into the mind.
Mind has no way to go outside.
It has to be done with awareness.
Om Shanti.
And it doesn't need to maintain a speed or something else.
No.
What is maintained?
You are absorbed.
Every time you drop Om Shanti,
Is more important.

Bring your mind on the right hand.
Your mind on the left hand.

The meditation was very calm and peaceful.
What I noticed that during the japa,
It was not rhythmic in a sense that the mind was like staying for sometimes longer periods,

Because it was like absence of anything.
And then suddenly I have to do the japa and I have to continue.
So that was like something I knew I noticed.
