Hello and welcome to this inner journey,
This guided meditation to help you connect with and seek wisdom from an inner guide.
My name is Jillian Florence Sanger and for this practice I invite you to find a comfortable laying down position.
Support your body with any pillows or blankets that you might need for comfort and warmth.
And take your time to wiggle out the body to find as much comfort as possible.
And as you settle into a position of relative stillness,
Draw your attention towards the crown of your head.
And I invite you to begin imagining that a wave of relaxation enters into your crown and slowly,
Slowly moves its way throughout your body.
Begin doing any tightness or tension in the small muscles around your eyes.
Relaxing your tongue and your jaw,
Your shoulders and both arms all the way down to your fingers.
This sense of relaxation moves into your heart space,
Creating a sense of ease and openness throughout your chest.
And then it runs along the length of your spine into your belly,
Relaxing all the muscles in and around your core.
Feel this sense of ease moving further down into the space between your hips and in your pelvis.
And then feel it enter into your thighs,
Moving through your knees,
Your shins and calves,
And into your feet,
Relaxing both legs completely.
Your body is somehow both weighted and weightless.
Your mind is quiet and your breath is slow and steady.
And turning towards the imaginative capacity of your mind,
I invite you to find yourself in some natural environment that feels like home to you.
Perhaps next to an ocean,
A lake,
A mountain,
A dense forest.
And from this place,
You will enter into a lower world through a cave,
A hollow tree or a body of water,
Or simply stairs that descend deep towards the earth's core.
Take a moment to locate this entryway that speaks to you.
Take your way towards it,
Taking a long breath before you begin your descent,
Knowing that you are safe and supported.
And when you're ready,
Begin to make your way down,
Stepping,
Swimming,
Floating,
Moving deeper and deeper and deeper,
Away from the world that you know and into one that is deep,
Dark,
Rich,
Full of infinite potential.
You continue moving down until you arrive at another type of space.
Perhaps great open plains,
An enchanted forest or anywhere else you feel drawn to.
Trust where your soul is carrying you.
And as you arrive there,
Take a moment to notice the space that holds you,
To ground your feet into it.
And then silently repeating,
I am here to meet a guide.
I am here to meet a guide.
A guide might present itself in the form of an animal,
A human,
A mythical entity,
A plant,
An element.
Simply remain open to whatever form your guide appears in.
And when a guide shows up,
You might ask it for confirmation.
Are you my guide?
And just note how it responds.
If it's not your guide,
Remain open to any other guide that might be right for you today.
And once you have made a connection with a guide,
Take a moment to observe its energy,
Its nature.
And then I invite you to ask it,
What do I need to know in this moment on this day in order to grow and to evolve?
What do I need to know in this moment on this day in order to grow and to evolve?
This guide who wishes for nothing but your highest good might begin to convey certain messages through words,
Signs,
Symbols,
Gestures.
It might guide you somewhere.
It might show you something.
Simply remain open to whatever this guide might have to show you today,
Trusting that it has nothing but your highest good in mind.
Spend just a few more moments with your guide,
Absorbing any final bits of wisdom or insight that it might have to share with you.
And after taking one more breath together with your guide,
I invite you to leave this world the same way that you came into it,
Slowly making your way back up to the natural environment where you began this journey.
And after arriving there,
Letting that vision dissipate as well as you feel back into the surface that holds your physical body right now.
Take a few long,
Deep and cleansing breaths at your own pace.
And when you feel ready,
I invite you to slowly open your eyes back up to the world.
And I encourage you,
If you have the time,
To spend a few moments journaling about your experience,
Making note of whatever it was that your guide shared with you today,
Knowing that you can reconnect with this guide or any other guide whenever you need to.
