Dear heart,
May the peace I seek begin within me.
May the peace I seek begin within me.
May my thoughts be anchored in care.
May my judgments become discernments.
May I be gentle and gracious in the way I think of myself and in the way I think of others.
May I lean into forgiveness to whatever degree or depth I am capable of,
But allowing the reach of that offering to widen.
May I catch my mind when it ruminates,
When it pulls me away from being present.
May I be present.
May I be present.
May I find that the present is the only place where peace resides.
May I travel this earth in increasingly conscious movements.
May I take no more than I need.
May I give back to equal or greater degrees.
May I listen with care.
May I speak with awareness.
May I pause before I react,
Taking a breath,
A full loving breath,
To reroute in the wisdom and equanimity within me.
Like forgiveness,
May my love for this earth expand increasingly,
An invisible web reaching more and more hearts,
Further and further places.
May this love extend beyond the human community,
To plants,
To animals,
Microorganisms too,
To ecosystems,
Wetlands and forests,
Oceans and deserts,
And to the ecosystem of my very own body.
May I be at peace with the beauty and blessing of my body.
May the peace I seek begin within me,
Dear heart.
May I offer it outward as an ever-expanding spiral.
