It's entirely possible to let go of thinking unless we actually need to.

You see,

We can't control when a thought may arise,

But we have total control over whether we allow it to draw us into the mind,

Into the act of thinking,

An act that tends to just stir up more thoughts and old emotions and tends to leave us living in our heads in the past or the future.

In order to stay in the present moment when a thought does arise,

We simply have to stay grounded in our bodies and feel any emotion that might be related to the thought.

This will help integrate the emotion and enable us to live much more in the present moment in a state of peace and ease.

This takes practice,

But over time,

We'll begin to be filled with more space and less thought,

Living less in our head and more in the present moment.

By doing this,

We'll also be able to use the mind as a tool to solve any problems rather than being lost in it.
