Hello,
My name is Bahar.
You may know me as Genius Bahar.
Today I'm going to share with you a meditation to meet and interact with your inner child.
So your inner child is one of your past selves at any age that makes up part of who we are as a whole integrated self.
And often we need to take some more extra time than we intentionally do to actually sit with younger versions of ourselves to help ourselves heal.
And so by taking this time today to sit with and talk to,
Interact,
Perhaps it's the first time you're meeting one of your younger selves,
You're instigating some truly deeply healing work because a lot of the trauma that we've experienced or programs that have come up and the things that we want to change within ourselves started at these younger ages.
So by going in and inviting them to be part of the healing process,
You're truly elevating your healing practice in a way that just goes beyond simply sitting and meditating with your current self.
And so for today's meditation,
It will be a guided visualization and all you will need is a comfortable place to either sit or lie down where you will not be disturbed.
Headphones can be an awesome way to really fully integrate inward,
But no worries if you don't have it,
Just have the device speaker close to your ears and then just allow yourself to arrive.
And once you have arrived,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
And now focus on your breath.
Take a deep inhalation through your nose.
Deep exhalation out your mouth.
Deep inhalation through the nose.
Deep exhalation out the mouth.
Third time's the charm,
Deep inhalation through the nose.
Holding this one a little bit longer at the top.
And I want you to make your biggest sound sigh out.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Allow your body to soften.
Allow yourself to be held wherever you might be sitting or laying.
And now let's activate our energetic body by bringing your attention to the crown of your head and feeling your crown chakra open up.
And as you begin to feel the energy from around swirling around the crown of your head,
Now envision it like a waterfall just washing over your face,
The back of your skull.
Allow it to wash over your chest,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Your upper back,
Your mid back,
Your low back.
Let it wash over your torso,
Your hips,
Your glutes.
Let it relax the thighs,
The calves,
All the way down to your feet until you are just beaming with energetic light.
And as this white light takes over your vision,
Now give yourself permission to transport to your favorite place in nature.
As your physical eyes stay closed,
Your third eye opens up even more,
The space between your eyebrows.
And here inside your heart and mind you begin to see this beautiful nature location that you want to be.
See yourself and feel yourself sitting or laying on the ground,
Taking in the textures of the grass,
Of the sand,
Of the dirt,
Wherever you might be.
And as you simply allow yourself to be here,
You begin to take even more note of this sacred place where you feel safe,
Where you feel connected to yourself.
You notice the scenery around,
You notice how it makes you feel.
You notice perhaps the sun in the sky,
If there are any clouds.
And if you haven't yet,
Find yourself a space to just sit or lie down,
Maybe next to a tree,
Maybe next to the water.
And then you begin to sense that someone else is here with you.
You gently turn and look over your shoulder and you see a younger version of you.
You take note of what they are wearing,
What they look like.
You really feel into their age and their essence.
And you notice them slowly begin to approach you.
They plop down next to you and say hello.
They ask if you'd like to play with them or join them in an activity that is a favorite of theirs at this age.
You say of course.
You allow your inner child to take you somewhere else in this sacred space to partake in an activity of their choosing.
And you allow yourself some time to just enjoy,
Play,
Experience,
Create together.
After some time passes,
You ask her or him to take a moment to sit down with you.
You let them know that you've come here today to check in and ask how they're doing and see what they need.
Take a moment to take in their expression after you offer this.
Maybe you take their hand or place your hand on their shoulder so they know your sincerity.
And then you ask them,
Is there anything that you need from me?
How is it that I can help you?
You allow them to respond however they need.
And it's okay if words aren't coming up right now.
Know that even this act of asking is opening up the doorway for your relationship to be stronger.
And then you ask them,
Is there anything that you want to ask of me?
Any questions you might have.
And you allow them the space to ask or not to ask.
And after all is said and done,
You take both their hands and say,
I make a promise to you today from this day forward to include you on this journey,
To ask you what your needs are,
And to be here for you,
To listen to you,
To see you,
To hold you.
Your inner child embraces you with a warm thanks.
They whisper,
I love you.
And you whisper it back.
And you let them know that while your time today has finished,
You will be back and you will always keep them with you,
Even when you're not here.
You say your goodbyes.
You watch them wander off in the distance.
And then you gently make your way back to your place where you first came in.
You sit or lie yourself down.
You allow that white light of energy to overtake you once again,
And you ask it to bring you back to your current time and place,
Your current home and space,
Bringing with you exactly what you need and leaving behind anything that does not serve you.
When you're ready,
Just move slowly with the fingers and toes,
Gently taking a stretch to come back.
And I offer up for you now the option of taking a pen and paper and writing down what it is that came up,
How you're feeling,
What your inner child shared with you,
Any other details that you would like to remember.
And know that you can use this recording as many times as possible to come back and speak with this exact age or any age.
It could be you last year.
These are all forms of your younger self,
Your inner children.
And I hope that this was helpful for you in tapping into another part of yourself.
