Hello,

My name is Golbahar Tabatabai.

I'm a Reiki Master Teacher and a self-love coach,

Inspired by the chakra system,

The moon cycles,

And visualization.

Today,

I'm going to share with you a meditation to help you forgive someone.

This could be a family member,

A friend,

A coworker,

A partner,

Or even yourself.

Forgiveness meditations are key for healing and grief and opening up the unconditional love that exists inside us all.

Forgiveness is one of the pillars of the heart chakra,

Anahata,

Our energy center for pure and unconditional love.

We often think we need to hear an apology from another person in order to forgive,

But that is not true.

True forgiveness is accepting the apology we may never get in the physical realm and still finding peace within yourself in this realm.

We are able to do this by practicing forgiveness in the energetic realm through meditations like this one.

As we practice forgiving others,

We come to learn that we are also in need of forgiving ourselves.

We learn that forgiveness is really for our own healing and that you do not need anyone other than yourself and your willingness to let go.

We learn that everyone simply acts out of pain and by utilizing this forgiveness meditation,

We are transmuting that pain into healing and love for ourselves and creating a ripple effect that heals the collective.

Now let's begin the meditation.

First allow yourself to find a comfortable place where you will be undisturbed for the duration of this meditation.

You may sit or lie down,

However you feel most comfortable.

Allow your eyelids to close gently over your eyes.

Now bring the attention to your breath.

Feeling it go in through the nostrils filling up your lungs and your belly and out your mouth.

Two more rounds like that to cleanse and clear.

Inhale through the nostrils,

Exhale out the mouth.

Final cleansing breath,

Inhale through the nose and exhale out the mouth.

Now allow your breath to return to normal.

Let your body breath you.

Now bring the attention to the crown of your head.

Here I will call in Reiki spiritual healing energy to assist on this journey of forgiveness.

Visualize a thousand petal lotus flower opening up right here above the crown of your head.

This is your connection to the divine through your crown chakra sahasrata.

Really notice each of the petals.

Notice their color.

Perhaps it's a violet or a golden white.

Perhaps there's a rainbow of colors.

Anything that you see is perfect.

And then begin to see that energy,

That light now flowing into each and every petal.

And then down the stem of this flower and the stem you realize connects to your spine.

So this energy is now percolating into the crown of your head.

Melting down your face,

Bringing a sense of calm.

Let it relax the back of your neck and the sides and the front of your neck.

Let this golden honey light relax your shoulders,

Each of your arms and your hands.

Let it hug your chest,

Side bodies,

Your back and torso.

At the same time see it filling up the space between your skin,

Hugging your organs,

Your spine.

See it wrap all the way down your spine to the tip of your tailbone and then softening your glutes,

Your hips.

Coming around the front to your pelvic floor and then oozing relaxation down each of your legs into each of your feet and toes.

And now feel the support of the earth below you in whatever form you have chosen to sit or lay on today.

Know that that is your connection to mamma gaia,

To mother earth.

And allow that connection to keep you grounded as reiki energy continues to elevate you to your highest good.

And now bring the attention to the center of your heart space.

See a green light,

The color of your heart chakra opening up at the center of your heart.

Perhaps even hints of pink coloring the space.

Let those colors envelope your entire body,

Eventually wrapping around your entire auric field.

And like a swirl of colors,

Let it wrap all around you,

Transporting you to the shore of a beach.

Picture yourself sitting or lying down,

Feeling the warm sand below you,

The sun beating on your face.

Feeling the kiss of the wind against your skin.

Smelling the salt air.

Soothed by the ocean sounds.

And then you sense that someone else is near and you're joyfully awaiting this meeting.

You gently perk up and notice that walking towards you is the exact person that you need to forgive.

You can feel,

Although excited for this forgiveness,

There's a heaviness in your heart.

And that heaviness is the grief that is ready to be let go through this forgiveness.

As the person approaches you closer and closer,

You begin to notice them in their best light.

You see them smiling,

So happy to be there with you.

And that same honey light that brought you here is glowing within their heart and all around them.

Already that grief in your heart begins to soften.

You look into their beautiful innocent eyes and feel your higher self connecting to theirs.

They sit down a few feet in front of you.

They thank you for having them there today.

You take a deep breath.

And you look at them.

And before they even say anything else,

You simply say,

I forgive you three times to them.

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

Take another deep breath and allow your words to travel to them,

Wrapping around them.

See how it begins to lighten their load as well.

As you look back into their eyes,

You see the innocence within them.

You understand that everyone is doing their best.

That we are all connected.

And you tell them,

I love you three times.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Taking another deep breath.

You sigh out.

And you just say thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

As you both sigh out,

You begin to feel or see the remnants of that grief beginning to fade out of your chest.

The other person comes over to you and takes your hands and says thank you.

Thank you for showing me the path to forgiveness.

And you wrap your arms around each other,

Embracing each other like it's your very best friend.

Repeating any of the words if you feel called.

You gently pull away.

You both smile.

Perhaps there are tears in your eyes.

Just a gentle understanding that there has been closure here.

Again,

You say thank you.

And because their time is done,

They slowly wander away,

Lighter,

Happier than when they came.

How's our you?

You take a moment to breathe in this transmutation,

This change of pain through forgiveness into compassion and love.

Where there once was suffering,

Forgiveness has replaced it with compassion.

As you sit down,

You feel lighter.

However,

There's still one more person left to forgive.

You feel a gentle tap on your shoulder and as you turn around,

It's you.

You see your very best highest self right there in front of you.

And you realize that in this situation,

Everyone needs forgiveness.

For our brothers and sisters are simply mirrors of ourselves and what we need to learn.

You sit down knee to knee with yourself,

Holding hands,

Holding hands,

Looking each other in the eye.

You see yourself smiling and full of love.

You look at you and you say,

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

And you look back at yourself again and say,

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Not in spite of this,

But because of this,

Because through this,

I have learned more about myself and about my community.

And the more that you realize,

The more your higher self lights up.

You hug each other.

You embrace.

Repeating any of the words if you feel calm.

But this time your higher self becomes you.

You feel the essence of your best self become you and you realize this is the path to enlightenment.

It is through forgiving and loving myself and my brothers and sisters.

Take a moment feeling once again the ocean breeze against your skin.

Hearing the crashing of the waves,

The warmth of the sand.

You feel the ocean breeze against your skin.

Hearing the crashing of the waves,

The warmth of the sand.

You place both your hands over your heart and you say,

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Allow yourself to sit in this pure loving energy.

Feel your transmutation,

Your growth.

Where there once was suffering,

Forgiveness has replaced it with compassion.

All because you chose to do so.

Once again,

Tell yourself here,

Feeling your heartbeat.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Perhaps even placing your name at the end of the sentence.

And then begin to see the light again from your heart chakra coming out of your heart,

Enveloping your entire body.

Creating a beautiful loving tornado effect around you,

Whirling you back to your current place and time.

Gently bringing yourself back to your awake state when you are ready.

Thank you for taking this time to love and heal yourself,

Thereby creating a ripple effect that brings more love and healing to the world.

Namaste.
