This guided meditation is based on five simple verses that have been my companion for many,
Many years.
I discovered these verses resting in my consciousness as I awakened from my morning meditation one day.
I had no idea where they came from,
And frankly I still don't know,
But I've spent many years unpacking their full meaning and implication.
The verses are these.
All things are one thing.
All places are one place.
All times are one time.
Time,
Space,
And matter are one.
One is a thought.
Join me now as we work through these verses,
Repeating them over and over again until their meaning,
Both obvious and subtle,
Begins to emerge.
Take a moment now to find a comfortable seated position for meditation.
You can sit on the floor or you can sit in a chair if you prefer.
Allow your eyes to close down and drop into presence by drawing a deep breath in through the nose and an open mouth exhale.
Do that twice more,
Breathing in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
One more time.
Now begin to find your heartbeat.
You may not feel the heart beating in the chest.
You may actually find your heartbeat in your mouth or in your nasal passages,
Maybe in the fingertips.
Focus on the heartbeat.
Notice its rhythm and notice its cadence.
Just tune in to the heartbeat and begin to let everything else go.
Let the heartbeat consume all of your awareness.
Let your attention rest on the beating of your heart.
Let everything else begin to settle around you,
Staying focused on the beat of your heart.
Now listen to my voice and let everything else go.
Focus on my voice and my voice only.

The present,
And the future.
However,
The division of time is artificial.
The truth is,
Time is indivisible.

Just as all things are one,

The division of reality into time,
Space,
And matter is an illusion.
In truth,
Time,
Space,
And matter are indivisible.
Time,
Space,

Time,

Our mind inquires,
What is the one that is all time,
Space,
And matter?
What is the one that is all things,
All places,
And all times?
Explore the answer for yourself without thinking or analyzing.
Say to yourself,
One is,
And then see what emerges.
Fill in your own answer.
There is no right or wrong.
Repeat your answer to yourself.
One is.
Now hold the oneness you have found tenderly.
Rest with it.
Accept it into your heart.
All things are one thing.

Just rest for a moment with oneness,
Accepting a reality undivided.
This is the true nature of the world.
This is your true nature.
When the time feels right,
Bring your awareness back to your heartbeat.
Notice the rhythm of the heart beating in your body.
Feel at peace with everything just as it is.
When you're awake,
Allow your eyes to open gently,
Perhaps seeing everything bathed in a new light.
