Many people have hectic days, which overload the brain’s capacity to function well. During such times, it helps to center and calm within. Such is the intent and design for this brief meditation. Here, you can reset to begin the next part of the day with an improved ability to focus. In addition, you will be able to self-regulate your nervous system on multiple levels, which is life-sustaining. Music: tranquilium/boundless

Slow down and restore.

Take a two-minute break from your day.

Just sit or stand quietly in the space where you find yourself now and close your eyes down.

Now,

Take a full breath into your lungs,

Expanding very deeply into your lower abdomen.

Wonderful.

Now,

Exhale slowly through your mouth as I count to six,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

And now experience the segmented breath.

Together with me,

Sniff in through your nose as I count to four,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6,

7,

8,

Hold that,

Exhale slowly now through your mouth,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Inhale,

1,

2,

3,

4.

And slowly exhale,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Now feel yourself letting go all the way and now drop deeper,

Deeper.

Go deeply inside,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep.

So deep,

So rested.

Calm,

Rest,

Peace.

Calm,

Rested,

Peace.

And now,

Returning to full waking consciousness,

Bringing this back with you,

This sensation of calm,

Rest,

Peace.

Calm,

Rest,

Peace.
