Pain is the body’s way of signaling that something is wrong. Even if a medical cause has been discovered and appropriate treatment rendered, pain can still go on. It's also well-known that many pain medications have unwanted side effects or can cause addiction. Because pain is generally worsened by the body tensing up, relaxation and meditation strategies can often help to considerably reduce the intense feeling of pain. This exercise addresses exactly that. It can lessen the subjective experience of pain. Try this mental journey inward and see if it helps you to feel better.
