Welcome,

My name is Epiphany Mason and I'm the founder of From Epiphany.

I make courses and meditations.

This meditation is called Come Sit With Me.

I hope it gives you some relief.

Please,

Come sit with me.

Let us sit in the pauses between breaths.

Where an inhale ends and an exhale has not yet begun.

Sit in the moment a ball is thrown into the sky.

Suspended mid-air not yet having started to fall.

Please sit with me in this still tide on the shore before it is pulled back out to sea.

Sit like an unpicked flower soaking in the sun,

Like a glass patiently waiting to be filled,

Like a wild animal undisturbed by man.

Let us sit in silence,

In the commas that separate words,

In the moments between awakeness and sleep,

In the soothing sound that not thinking makes.

Sit in the slowness of a leaf drifting from a branch,

Of water as it sinks into sand,

Of watching your life move at half speed,

A quarter,

An eighth.

So slow you could walk up to yourself mid-step and before your foot lands you could cradle your own cheek with the palm of your hand.

Where in this precious sitting a calmness settles within you like a pebble floating down to rest on a river bed.

A grounding is felt as if your veins have become roots anchoring you to the earth.

A centering is found,

Like a lost bee coming home to its hive.

In taking a moment or two to stand still,

Perspective enlightens you.

Stakes that were once considered so very high are lowered,

Dropped to the earth like a clipped piece of hair.

You are the one to make the snip,

To lower these stakes.

In sitting we can cultivate the love for ourselves that's absence allowed the stakes to climb so high.

You can show your neglected self that forgotten love.

Give it now,

It is not too late.

There is nothing that's value is worth the cost of your peace.

There is nothing that needs to be stressful for you and not your best self when you are preoccupied by stress.

This is why we sit,

To remember this.

In sitting you know if this is all you do today,

You are enough.

If this is all you have,

You have enough.

In sitting you know you are safe.

Nothing can hurt you here,

Everything is alright.

You are alright,

You are under protection.

You are sacred,

You are loved,

You are allowed to move through your life calmly.

You are allowed to live as if you are safe and enough and loved because you are.

So this sitting into the hem of your life,

Allow it to be a part of each piece of clothing you wear covering your back through each challenging moment of your day.

If you stand up instead of sit,

Maybe even stomp around or run,

Remember,

Sitting is always an option,

It is always available to you.

You can always choose to rest cross legged on the ground in a deep breath.

Here you will find your piece of peace.

Here the beauty of the world will show itself to you again and you will find your easeful place in it once more.

Stay with me here just for a little longer,

For as long as you need.

Beautiful.

Slowly take some more conscious breaths,

Flutter open your eyes and come back to me.

My name is Epiphany and I am the founder of From Epiphany.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Please remember we are in this together.
