We can begin each day with an intention to invite and open to a feeling of potential and possibility.

We can do this by becoming present and reconnecting to the vastness and clarity of awareness itself.

In doing so,

We can move beyond our conditioned limiting beliefs and reconnect to a powerful source of compassion and love that allows us to live with more courage and joy.

Let's begin by listening through the body.

If you feel comfortable doing so,

Close the eyes and reduce the distractions from your visual field.

Or you can keep them open,

Gazing to a point in front of you.

Invite yourself to begin opening to sounds.

Without the labels,

Notice what is present without commentary.

Now begin gathering your awareness by listening to the sounds near and far.

At first listening for the sounds within your room.

Listening to the sound of the waves.

Listening to the sounds of these words.

And eventually it is possible you might hear the sound of your breathing.

As you begin to tune into your auditory fields,

Notice that you are choosing to direct your attention.

We hear a sound and can begin to discover how we experience the vibrations from the sound waves.

And we continue attempting to move beyond labels of pleasant or unpleasant.

You might begin to witness sensations throughout your body.

You can become aware of them and then choose to direct your attention to explore the sounds as they arise and pass away.

Throughout this journey,

You begin to notice how you have an ability to interrupt your thoughts and expand your awareness back to the auditory field.

Attempting to release the anticipation of the next sound and instead inviting ourselves to rest in the open and spacious awareness.

Notice how you've started a journey toward feeling more awake to your moment by moment experience,

Inviting awareness to continue to expand.

Hearing the sound of the waves.

The sound of my voice.

Resting in the awareness that holds all that arises and passes away.

As we continue to observe and become curious.

We connect to an awareness that is spacious and expansive like the sky.

This awareness is simply aware without opinions,

Labels,

Anticipation and judgments.

You might even be able to sense awareness,

Being able to move from the center of your being in this moment and feel it extend outward towards your skin.

Imagine sense or feel any way you can.

That awareness is not limited to the size of your head.

How far reaching can you invite your awareness to become?

How close or far can you feel it in relation to where you are in this moment?

We can open to this kind of awareness that hear sounds,

Sees images or thoughts appearing like clouds in the sky.

They arise and dissolve in the vastness of the sky like nature of awareness.

Sounds appearing nearby.

Distance sounds.

Waves.

Silence.

They all appear and disappear in the spacious open awareness.

Awareness boundless by skin.

We can begin relaxing into that spacious awareness.

Sense into the potential of this far reaching awareness.

How instead of identifying with one thought like cloud in the sky,

It is actually much more like the sky itself limitless.

Sweeping spaciousness.

The essence of awareness is free of judgment or desires.

It is clear and open.

It allows for all things and is not limited by them.

We have the ability to let go.

To rest in vast,

Silent,

Open awareness.

Once we do we can invite compassion to fill up the spaciousness we have reconnected with.

We fill up with the warmth of kindness toward our most vulnerable parts.

Compassion toward each of our fears,

Frustrations and worries.

Because we feel reconnected to the open spaciousness of awareness.

This vast awareness is our essence.

It is our home.

We can trust it.

And we can connect with it at any moment.

For these next few moments,

Continue to relax into the spacious awareness.

And invited to fill up with compassion.

Wise and loving.

We fill up with a bright light of loving awareness.

We can expand into its fullest potential and possibilities.

And once you begin to open your eyes,

You can also start to see how you will choose to reconnect with this kind of awareness throughout your day.

You might acknowledge the relationships in areas of your life where you can let go of the repetitive thoughts.

Where you can zoom out and remember that the thoughts are like clouds in the sky.

And that awareness is actually as expansive as the sky.
