This guided sleep story meditation guides you through a snowy forest where you will find an old log cabin. In the snowy cabin, a warm crackling fire, a delicious meal and a cozy magic blanket are all waiting to offer you warmth and comfort and to help you fall asleep. The relaxing sounds & ASMR ambiance along with the softly spoken word will help lull you into relaxation so you can drift off effortlessly. The long pauses between phrases are intentional to help slow down brain wave activity.

Hi,

I'm Joanne,

And I'm honored that you have chosen to listen to this video so that I may help you relax and fall asleep.

This meditative sleep story will help calm your mind as you follow along and focus on the relaxing imagery and sounds.

It will help you relax your body and release any tension you may be holding onto.

And as you follow my voice,

We will journey together through a peaceful,

Snowy forest that will take you to a private,

Cozy cabin where your magic sleep blanket will be there waiting to offer you warmth and comfort,

Helping you drift off effortlessly into a peaceful,

Restful sleep.

Settle in comfortably into your sleep space,

And when you're ready,

We will begin.

Gently close your eyes and bring your attention to your breathing.

In a few moments,

I will guide you to inhale to the count of four,

And then exhale to the count of four.

This four count breathing is a useful relaxation technique that sends a message signaling the brain to release the hormones needed to elicit the feeling of relaxation.

It is also a mindful exercise that helps calm the mind from distracting thoughts,

Helping you stay in the present moment,

Which is the only place where peace and relaxation can be experienced.

When you're ready,

Begin to inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And repeat this breath cycle now for a few moments on your own,

Going at a pace that feels most comfortable for you.

And now allow your breath to return back to its natural pace and rhythm.

Notice the sensations in your body.

Once you are noticing a feeling of calmness beginning to settle within you,

Welcome it as we will now begin our sleep journey.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine standing in front of a peaceful wintry forest that has a snow-covered path that meanders through the woods.

There are tall trees on either side of the forest trail,

And it is late in the day and the sky is getting darker.

It is beginning to snow very lightly,

And the glittery snowflakes,

White and pure,

Float gently downward from the darkened clouds that fill the early evening sky,

Settling softly onto the branches of the trees.

See yourself taking a walk in the quiet woods,

Accompanied by these graceful snowflakes that are swirling around you and gently falling onto the ground.

The trees on either side of the path stand silent,

Cold and bare,

With no foliage and no fruit.

The snow rests like white frosting on the dry brown branches.

It is so quiet,

There are no merry tunes of the little songsters to cheer up the lonely feeling of this wintry forest,

For nature is in a dormant state and all the woodland creatures are now hibernating within their cozy little homes.

The ground is covered with a light dusting of untouched snow which makes it look like a plush white carpet.

Hear the soft crunching of the snow under your feet as you walk.

This familiar sound brings you great comfort.

The last rays of winter sunlight blends a mystical soft glow to the entire forest,

And despite the cold and dreary weather,

Your heart is warm and filled with joy and gladness to be a part of this enchanting forest in the snow.

And as you continue to stroll along in the quietude of the forest,

You suddenly chance upon a quaint old log cabin with its roof all covered in snow.

A warm orange glow shines through its window,

And a light stream of smoke slowly rises up from the chimney,

And an enjoyable scent of burning wood wafts through the evening air.

You are curious,

And you walk off the path and through the tall trees and evergreens that are sitting quietly in the snow,

Making your way slowly towards the cabin so you can take a peek through the window.

There is no sign of anyone within,

Just a bright,

Cheery fire blazing in the fireplace,

And the room inside looks so welcoming.

You are happy to discover that the door is unlocked,

And as you enter,

You are immediately enveloped by the warmth of the crackling fire.

You remove your snow-covered boots,

Your hat,

Scarf,

And your mittens,

And you hang your winter coat on a coat stand beside the door.

The entire cabin is lit up by the golden glow of the dancing flames,

And you soon forget about the snowy forest from which you came.

It feels strangely familiar here,

And you feel completely at home and at ease as you walk through the room.

The room is uncluttered and simply furnished,

And on your left there is a small kitchen with a big wooden harvest table and a chair,

And on your right,

A big bed that is covered in a white downy comforter and lots of pillows that remind you of soft,

Fluffy clouds.

This is your own private little snow cabin.

Everything is so neat and tidy in here.

The uncluttered space helps you feel light and frees your mind of distractions,

Helping you be fully present and in the moment as you enjoy the soothing ambiance of this cozy,

Peaceful little cabin.

A comforting aroma of a hearty home-cooked meal fills your senses,

And you notice that the table is laid with some of your favorite foods,

Along with a jug of fresh water as well as a pot of steaming hot tea.

The smell and sight of the delicious food on the table reminds you that you haven't eaten dinner and you feel very hungry,

And you pull out the chair and sit down to enjoy your meal.

The food is warm and freshly prepared.

It is as though someone was expecting you.

Take your time now to relish the food.

Each bite of food and sip of water nourishes your body and nurtures your soul.

The hotipped aurora tea butter,

Seaweeds leave your eyes and mouth filled with hunger.

You now wish to lie down on the comfy bed.

The delicious meal along with the long walk in the cold snowy forest has tired your muscles and you want to rest.

See yourself stretch out luxuriously onto the bed allowing your body to settle in comfortably.

The bed feels very soft below you and the downy comforter feels pleasantly cool to touch as you gently caress the white cotton fabric with the palms of your hands.

You enjoy resting here and your whole body sinks deeper down into the softness below,

Letting go completely and it feels so good to let go and relax.

The glowing fire continues to blaze brightly,

Hear it crackling cheerfully,

Oblivious to the cold snowy weather outside but you feel comfy and cozy here.

As you lie on the bed,

You gaze out through the window.

It is completely dark outside and the snow is now falling harder than before and you feel warm and safe in your cozy little cabin.

As you watch the pristine white snowflakes dance and swirl against the black velvet sky,

A magic blanket appears at the foot of the bed.

This blanket feels soft and wooly and it is very slowly moving up over you as if some invisible loving hand is tucking you in.

You aren't afraid because the magic blanket emanates a comforting and nurturing energy and your body embraces this calm feeling as the blanket slowly moves up your body,

Gently wrapping you in comfort and peace.

Bringing comfort to the tips of each of your toes and the space between them.

The blanket now covers the top of your feet and slowly rises up to cover the lower legs.

Slowly rising up to cover your right thigh and then your right hip.

Left thigh and left hip.

Filling the legs with tingly relaxation from the tips of your toes all the way to your hips and your legs feel warm and heavy as they fill with relaxation.

And now this soft wooly blanket slowly drapes over your pelvis and then your abdomen and now your chest.

And now covering your arms as they come to rest in the softness.

The blanket now gently lies all the way up to your neck.

Feel the gentle weight of the blanket gently wrapped yet not confined feeling secure and protected in the softness that embraces you.

The blanket radiates a comforting warmth of its own powerful energy healing your body,

Mind and soul.

Relaxing every muscle of your body.

Soothing your mind and dissolving all worries and fears.

You feel very peaceful,

Very calm,

Very still.

You are in a deep state of relaxation and the fire continues to crackle,

Lulling you even more into a state of deep peace and tranquility.

Your eyelids are getting very heavy.

You can hardly keep your eyes open now.

The snowy forest seems so far away.

All you feel is comfort,

Peace and relaxation.

Just let go,

Surrender to this delicious sleepy feeling that's beginning to grow and expand.

You are safe.

Good night dear friend and sweet dreams.

I hope that you will sleep well and that you will awaken fresh and bright with the first rays of the morning sun.

Sleep stories can be very hit or miss for me but this is just wonderful and my favourite one. The sound effects are wonderful and so helpful for visualisation and calm. I listened to this sleep ๐Ÿ’ค meditation several times hoping to hear about the "sleep blanket" Who knows if there is one because I fell asleep each time to the teacher's easy to listen to voice and rhythm. To me that makes it a very good sleep meditation.
