Fall asleep fast and peacefully wrapped in a blanket of comfort. Let go of distracting thoughts while relaxing your body and mind. Be lulled by the ocean waves while the soothing background music and Joanne's gentle voice help you drift off into the most blissful sleep you've had in a very long time. The ocean waves continue to play for a short extended time after the narration is over to help you drift even more into sleep.

Welcome.

This is Joanne,

And I invite you now to drift with me into the peaceful world of sleep.

Before we begin this peaceful sleep journey,

Be sure to turn off all bright lights and screens and any notifications from devices nearby.

Go ahead and ease into a comfortable sleep position,

And when you're ready,

We will begin.

Embrace the comfort and safety of your bed,

Your sheets,

Your pillows.

Welcome the energy of sleep into this safe space,

Your bedtime oasis,

Away from the busyness of your daily life.

This quiet time of letting go,

So you can give way to rest and rejuvenation that sleep will bring you.

Find a small spot to gaze at,

Somewhere comfortably in front of you.

Depending on how you're positioned,

You can choose a spot on the ceiling above you,

Or perhaps on the wall in front of you.

It really doesn't matter where,

Just choose a spot and allow your open eyes to rest here.

And as you look here,

I am going to ask you to blink your eyes with every number I count,

Starting with the number ten.

Okay.

Ten.

Blink your eyes.

Nine.

Blink.

Eight.

Blink.

Seven.

Six.

Five.

Four.

Three.

Four.

Three.

Two.

One.

And zero.

Now your beautiful eyes are ready to gently close.

Embrace the soft darkness behind your eyelids.

Now take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

Hold it for a moment.

And then slowly exhale.

And allow any tension to melt away as you release the breath.

And again,

Take another slow,

Deep breath in.

Hold.

And now release.

And one last time.

Deep breath in.

Hold it for a moment.

And now let it go.

Perhaps you can already notice a feeling of deep relaxation beginning to spread as you continue to breathe slowly and deeply.

Just relax.

Feel your body sinking into the mattress.

Now bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Sense or imagine a feeling of relaxation beginning to spread down from the top of your scalp.

All the way down into your face.

Softening the muscles in your forehead.

Smoothing out the brow.

Relaxing the temples.

Allow your eyes to relax.

Let your cheeks and jaw soften.

Now imagine or sense this peaceful feeling as it flows down your neck and into your shoulders,

Letting them drop and ease back.

Breathe.

Allow this peaceful feeling to flow down your arms.

Relaxing and soothing all the way down to the tips of your fingers.

As your body relaxes,

Your mind relaxes.

Your thoughts begin to fade away,

Just like a wispy cloud slowly drifting across the horizon over a vast peaceful ocean.

Now imagine or sense this feeling of peace as it spreads through your chest and your belly.

Softening.

Releasing.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of each breath,

Like a wave that ebbs and flows slowly and deeply,

Soothing and relaxing.

Now this relaxing sensation flows all the way down your spine.

Softening any tension and stiffness as your back gives way to relaxation,

Sinking and melting all the way down into the surface below you.

And as this peaceful feeling flows down now through your lower body,

Your hips relax.

And so do the back of your thighs.

The front of your thighs.

All these large,

Strong muscles becoming loose and relaxed.

This relaxation now flows into the knees and into your calves.

Your ankles relax.

And now your feet and your toes.

Your entire body is soft,

Calm and peaceful.

Imagine now that in front of you,

There is a set of stairs going down.

These stairs lead you into restful and rejuvenating sleep.

And when I begin to count down from 10,

You will start to walk down these stairs,

Feeling more and more relaxed with each step you take.

Begin your sleep journey now.

Feeling so relaxed with each step.

More and more calm.

More and more relaxed in the mind.

And as you step off the last step,

You step into white sand.

It is so soft and warm under your feet.

Just feel the sensations you have in your feet as they sink down into the sand.

Now look up and all you see is more sand in front of you.

And in the distance,

You also hear the ocean.

Walk towards the sound of the waves.

As you're walking,

You can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Perhaps you can feel a slight breeze as well.

As you look up ahead,

You see the ocean peek over the sand dune.

And you're walking now towards the ocean.

And once again,

You notice the sand.

This time however,

The sand underfoot feels firmer because it is wet from the sea.

Slowly you approach the shore where the ocean meets the sand.

And you see little waves coming up and down.

Up and down.

And as the waves come and go,

You see some things in the sand like shells.

Pieces of seaweed.

Even your own footprints.

And you see a little piece of driftwood that's the perfect size for writing in the sand.

Pick up the driftwood.

And now draw the word relax into the sand where it's moist.

Write out each letter.

Noticing the sound that it makes as you scratch it through the sand.

Good.

Now step back.

Look at the word you've written in the sand.

Relax.

Relax.

Relax.

And as you look at the word,

Relax.

You notice a little wave coming closer.

And this wave catches part of the word and washes it away as it goes back into the ocean.

And then another wave comes and washes it away even more.

And another comes and this time washes it away completely.

Until all you can see are ripples in the sand where the word relax used to be.

That's good.

Now continue walking along your beach.

Noticing the surroundings all around you.

Notice the sounds.

The gentle whisper of the warm sea breeze lightly caressing your skin and your hair.

Notice all the pleasant sensations as you walk along this peaceful shore.

The warmth of the sun on your shoulders.

The crown of your head.

And down your back.

The wet sand between your toes.

It feels so nice doesn't it?

You stop for a moment and allow this pleasant experience to completely wash over you.

Like a wave of comfort.

Feeling so relaxed here on this beautiful peaceful beach.

Just be here at the beach enjoying this experience for a little while longer.

No cares.

No worries.

Just peace and relaxation.

Now you're ready for a little rest.

And as you look around,

You see the perfect spot just for you to lay down and rest.

Right here on this beach with the gentle rays of the sun comforting you and the sound of the ocean waves helping you drift and relax.

That's right.

Go ahead and sit down.

And before you lay back on the soft sand,

Take a moment to look out to the beautiful ocean in front of you.

See the horizon and how the ocean meets the sky.

The view is simply breathtaking.

You feel happy.

And you feel peaceful.

Sitting here on this quiet,

Tranquil beach.

As you continue to gaze at the sea,

You can't help noticing that a feeling of relaxation and sleepiness begins to grow and spread.

And you can't help but lay back on the cozy blanket that has spread out over the sand waiting for you to lie back and relax.

And as your body comes to rest,

A feeling of warmth from sun bathes your entire body from head to toe.

Warm and soothing,

Surrounded by warmth and comfort.

A feeling of sleepiness begins to meander through you.

That's right.

Give way to the sleepy feeling.

Slowly drifting.

Drifting and letting go.

Into this peaceful inner journey that will bring a gentle,

Healing and remaining sleep.

Nothing but the sound of the waves to lull you deeper and deeper into sleep.

Letting go of thoughts of the past or the future.

Letting them drift away into the ocean.

As you fully accept and embrace the peacefulness of this quiet moment.

The warmth of the sun feels like a safe,

Warm blanket that shields and protects you from distracting thoughts.

Keeping you in this present moment.

As your body and mind continue to unwind,

Your worries are slowly dissolving away.

Perhaps you can imagine your worries and any distracting thoughts drifting away on a sailboat on the ocean.

Drifting further and further away into the horizon where the sun is now beginning to descend.

Drifting further and further into the beautiful sunset.

You feel completely at ease.

Drifting deeper and deeper into the realm of sleep.

You feel safe and at peace.

Letting go and allowing the ocean and the music to carry you.

To take you deeper and deeper to relaxation.

Completely surrender to the feelings of restfulness and sleep.

Allowing this feeling to surround you completely.

Wrapping around you like a soft,

Cozy blanket.

A blanket of safety and comfort.

Just let go.

You are safe.

And all is well.

Sweet dreams dear one.

Sleep well.
