This is a poem about how the internal dis-ease we can feel from not living up to our fullest potential can literally build up so great inside of us, that the energy has nowhere else to go and we rupture. We break wide open and through that pain, we discover our true self.

A vice,

The apple constricting,

Wound too tight,

Exploding heart.

And like a lamp,

She is lit.

Bright,

Full,

Radiant,

Born of darkness.

It bursts from within her.

Words rush to fill the pages,

Existence her muse.

Vessels widen and brim with eagerness.

A world in pain,

She awakens.

The chair had to break.

A mind caught fire.

Now she's living.
