Hello beautiful souls.

This is JB and welcome to your sleep story,

The Farm.

Hoping to bring you a beautiful night's sleep.

So let's get into your favorite sleeping position.

Make sure you're comfortable.

Close your eyes and slowly imagine yourself just relaxing into the bed.

Now let's get your breathing going.

Slowing down the heart rate.

Let's take some nourishing breaths together.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Last time breathe in,

Breathe out.

Keep that rhythm going.

So today we're going to see my old friend Hetty.

Hetty is a chicken and she lays the most beautiful and best tasting eggs I've ever eaten.

So today we will go to the farm,

Have a look around,

Meet up with Hetty and collect those golden eggs.

So settle back and let's go to the farm.

Here we are at the farm.

Wow,

What a wonderful place to be.

I love to come to the country and there's no mistaking this sure does smell of the country.

I've got my welly boots on today because it's been raining a lot recently.

And to get to Hetty we must walk across a field and go to her nestling box so we can retrieve those wonderful eggs.

I love coming to the farm.

If I had a chance I'd probably buy a small farm and live there.

It's so nice to be closer to the way nature intended,

Don't you think?

Grow what I eat,

Eat what I grow.

That sounds like a poster for the farmer's market.

Hello folk,

We grow what we eat and we eat what we grow.

Anyway,

Let's get on.

It's quite a walk to get to Hetty's little barn and we have lots to pass along the way.

Well here we are passing some of Hetty's friends running around and having fun in the sun.

It's getting warm out and I can't wait until we get to the river so I can have a sit down.

But we have to keep walking for now.

The river is close and you can hear the crickets rubbing their legs together to make that noise.

I'm so used to it now but I hardly hear it anymore.

Ah,

The farm dog Skip is around trying to keep everyone in check.

There are some sheep here on the farm and it's soon time for the farmer to share them.

It's the end of summer and they need a little trim.

There are a few baby sheep,

Mues,

Running around too.

They look so sweet jumping and playing with each other.

Oh,

To be young again.

There's the old cow.

Her name is Molly.

She has had a calf and the calf gets extra feeding each day just to build up its strength.

It gets fed from a bottle.

Wow,

What a big baby that is.

Look at her feeding.

She's having a good drink.

Okay,

Moving on now.

Making our way to see my friend Hetty.

We're passing the rabbit hutches now.

Let's pop our head in and see if we can give them some juicy carrots.

Oh yes,

Here we go.

Crunch,

Crunch.

Their little pink noses twitching back and forth so quickly.

Crunch,

Crunch.

And the fur is super,

Super soft to the touch.

Crunch,

Crunch.

Wow,

Is that the time already?

Time to move on or I might miss Hetty.

We pass a few trees along the way.

And when I look closely,

I can see a little squirrel.

Wait,

Hold on.

Oh,

He has a friend.

They're playing tag team.

Up and down,

Up and down.

They move so quickly.

They see me and stop.

Look,

He has an acorn in his hand.

Just holding and looking at me.

Holding on for dear life.

As if he puts it down,

I'll nab it.

Oh,

They're off again,

Running along the branches.

See you later.

I've been spending so much time enjoying the animals.

I don't think I'm gonna have time to stop by the river today.

We'll come back another time there.

We'll just keep going for now.

Ew,

What is that smell?

Oh,

Of course,

It's the pig pen and it's where Gary lives.

He's not a happy looking chappy,

He's our Gary.

Until I pull out my secret weapon,

A red,

Juicy apple.

Gary loves apples.

I think it's the only thing that makes him happy.

Hey,

Gary,

Here you go.

He loves it.

I think he even gave me a smile with his snout.

Can you believe that?

Bye for now,

Gary.

I'm off to see Hetty.

So here we are coming up to the barn and ah,

Yes,

Here's Hetty's nesting box.

But where is Hetty?

I look all around,

Under,

Around the back,

Over.

I nearly give up,

But then I finally see her.

Hey,

Hetty,

You know why I'm here.

She looks at me and cocks her head to one side as chickens do.

And it's like she's giving me permission to choose the eggs I want.

So I lift the flap,

Put my hand in and feel the warm,

Round eggs.

Feels to me like they were just laid a few minutes ago.

They're still so warm.

I take them out and put them in my special little egg box.

Yes,

I came fully prepared.

Ah,

Looks like I'll be having one of these for my tea tonight.

What a delight.

So I make my way back to the other side of the farm,

Waving goodbye to Hetty as I go.

See you next time,

Hetty.

Thank you.

And off I go,

Back past Gary the pig.

He's looking a little happier now.

Past the tree with the squirrels.

They must have gone in for their tea.

I can't see them anymore.

Then past the rabbit hutches.

Then I wave goodbye to Molly the cow.

I look across and I see the sheep calling out to me.

But it's time for me to go home.

I can't wait to try one of these eggs for my tea.

Saying my final goodbye to Skip the dog.

And away I go.

Back home and ready for bed.

Thanks for coming with me to the farm.

Hope you enjoyed the trip.

See you next time.

Bye.
