Awaken To Wisdom
In this session we will awaken ourselves to our ultimate potential for wisdom, bliss, and enlightenment with the Buddhist mantra "Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum". We will listen to a brief introduction sharing the words and the meaning of this mantra, and how it might be used to create transformation in your life. Leçon 4
Connect To Nature
In this session we will honour our connection to nature with a song inspired by the Native American Traditions that honour nature. Tall trees Deep water Strong wind Warm fire I can feel you in my body I can feel you in my soul We will listen to a brief introduction sharing the words and the meaning of this mantra, as well as looking into the general theme of nature and the elements and how it might be used to create transformation in your life. We will practice a sweet musical version of this healing song together, then follow our mantra practice with a short guided meditation. We will close the session with a few guided reflective questions to think or journal upon. We will work gently together to reconnect with nature, the elements, and to all living things with whom we share this beautiful planet. Important note: English is absolutely not an indigenous language to any Native American community! The sacredness of the English language is spoken in jest, and yet has a grain of truth to it, as I believe all words uttered with purity and devotion have the power to awaken, and sometimes the simplicity of English can cut through the challenges the western mind may encounter when working with complex phrases from other cultures and languages. The phrase Heya Ho I understand to be used to honour Great Spirit in Native American traditions. The rest of the lyrics may be translations or simply inspirations from the wise native people and their sacred reverence of nature. I have heard this song sung in many languages and in quite different variations. I first heard it from some friends who spent alot of time living and learning with the Lakota people- it was shared to me as a traditional song, but is perhaps better described as a rainbow song. I hope you enjoy!
