There are so many benefits to our health when we move through our day more mindfully. Take the time to go slower and you will find gratitude is your friend. Take the time to ask someone how they are and listen to them when they tell you. Take the time to be here now and focus on this present moment. There is no where else you need to be for the next five minutes but here.

Day 10 Slow Find a comfortable place to sit or lie.

I prefer to sit upright but it's not necessary.

It's up to you,

Whatever feels most comfortable for yourself.

Place your hands on your lap,

Palms facing upwards,

Ready to receive,

And close your eyes.

Take the focus inwards.

Being mindful is an important teacher.

Going slowly to capture and notice.

Notice and observe the detail.

Zoom in on the finer details.

Breaking things down into manageable chunks.

Step by step by step.

Like taking time to eat your food.

One mouthful at a time.

Chewing and tasting and savouring every mouthful with gratitude.

There are many benefits to our health when we move through our day more mindfully.

Take the time to ask someone how they are feeling and listen to them when they tell you.

Take the time to be here now and focus on this present moment.

Focus on the sound of my voice.

Stay here and notice the sounds that are outside the room.

What is the furthest sound that you can hear?

Now bring your attention inside the room and notice the sounds that are here.

What can you hear?

Give yourself permission to be here and to go slowly.

There is no urgency to be anywhere.

Just being here for these five minutes.

Remain present.

Noticing that you are here sitting in space.

Being still.

That this time that you make is precious and important.

That this time you give to your mindfulness practice gives you peace.

Imagine a white feather falling in a dark space.

Observe as it falls in slow motion.

Blow this feather up and away and let it fall again.

Be curious about the slow motion of the feather.

Be here with the slow motion of being like that feather just floating.

Quiet.

Take three breaths.

Open your eyes and give gratitude for this practice.
