This meditation is designed to support your root chakra.
Your root chakra is located at the base of the spine.
Our root chakra gives us a sense of grounding and connection with the earth.
Through this connection we can achieve stillness.
Begin to picture a ball of glowing red light at the base of your spine.
This light grows larger with every inhale and contracts with every exhale.
Breathe into this space,
Lengthening every inhale and exhale.
You feel your body,
Your earthly form,
Solid here in this space.
You are aware of your legs becoming heavier,
Your arms releasing to their weight,
And your back melting,
Sinking,
Becoming still.
Your bones becoming heavier,
Feet releasing all tension,
And teeth slightly parting to allow easeful breath.
Bring your attention to your sense of smell,
Smelling the subtle aromas around you and silently identifying each one.
Becoming so aware you can detect the scent of your own skin.
The ball of red light continues to glow brighter at the base of your spine,
Growing with every long inhale and contracting with every exhale.
You picture this light extending into your legs,
Through your feet and toes,
And extending out as roots as it connects with the ground beneath you,
Burrowing into the earth like roots,
Supporting you,
Grounding you,
Keeping you safe.
You are truly safe here.
Feeling stillness in your breath.
Your body,
Like lead,
Heavy,
Sinking,
Solid.
You have a right to be here.
You are here.
You are present.
You have a right to have everything you need to survive.
You have a right to want more than to survive.
You have a right to thrive.
Repeat silently after me the following mattress.

Gravity continues to take hold of your body,
Sinking it further into stillness,
And you feel like the cedar tree,
Tall,

And majestic,
But rooted deep within the earth.

Moving purposefully through life.
