Have you ever heard about a silver cord and wondered if it's real?
Especially during astral projection.
Maybe you saw a glowing thread during an out-of-body experience,
Or maybe someone told you that traveling outside the body could break your connection.
Trust me,
That fear is very common,
But it's wrong.
Keep in mind this topic is not something to panic about,
It's actually beautiful.
So we are going to take a look at what a silver cord is,
How it appears during astral travel,
What it means spiritually,
Whether it cannot be broken at all,
And the most common myths around it.
So the silver cord is an energetic thread that connects your physical body to your astral body.
It is like an unbreakable lifeline.
It allows you to consciously leave the body during astral projection and always find its way back.
Like a reel that pulls you back into your body.
And this is the simplest definition.
The silver core is an energetic link between the physical body and the astral body.
It is not a physical rope.
So it's not made of matter,
It works beyond ordinary distance.
Many people describe it as a silvery white glowing elastic thread.
Some feel it almost as if it's alive.
Some traditions say it connects from the crown chakra.
Others share the third eye,
Or the back of the head.
Sometimes the 8th chakra and some even the solar plexus.
But you know,
The exact point doesn't matter.
Because it doesn't affect the connection itself.
Now,

Put one hand on your heart and take one deep breath.

And exhale.

And as you let go completely,
Quietly remind yourself,
I am anchored and I am safe.
So spiritually,
The silver core means connection.
It means that you are more than the physical body,
But while you are alive,
You are still safely linked to it.
It's a reminder that conscience can expand without becoming lost.
It also represents trust.
Most people approach astral projection with fear because they think they may leave the body and not know how to return.
But the silver cord is the return path.
You don't need to pull it,
You don't need to watch it.
You do not even need to protect it.
It simply exists as part of the structure of your incarnation,
And it is,
Indeed,
Your very mechanism of protection.
In deeper esoteric work,
This connects with the Sustratma,
The life thread.
That view is not only about astral projection.
It is about how consciousness descends into the body.
And how the soul maintains its presence through this lifetime.
During astral projection some people become aware of the silver cord immediately.
Others never notice it because their attention is on the room,
The vibrations,
The movement,
Or the astral environment.
Most people who do see it describe it as a glowing silver white thread,
Sometimes it looks like light,
Sometimes describes as a thick rope,
And others perceive it as thin as a spider web.
Can you relate to this idea of something being delicate and indestructible at the same time?
That's the energy of the silver cord.
Its appearance changes depending on awareness,
Depth,
And vibration.
And its behavior is also very important,
Because the silver cord works like an instant homing device.
The moment you decide to return.
Or your physical body is startled,
You snap back in a fraction of a second.
You cannot even choose not to return,
You always will.
Neither it can be tangled,
Twisted or broken by distance.
It stretches beyond physical measurements.
Some people return gently.
Another sometimes feel like a sudden pull,
Almost like crashing back into bed or falling from a very big height.
But don't worry,
Both are normal.
Now,
You may wonder,
Can a silver core be broken?
No,
Absolutely not,
The silver cord cannot be cut,
Severed or broken by any external force at all.
And this is the most important safety truth that you need to know in this whole subject.
The cord is not physical,
No object,
Entity,
Tool,
Energy or conscience can cut it.
Even during unpleasant astral encounters,
The core itself is untouchable.
Fear-based media made this worse.
Horror movies,
Inaccurate religion and inaccurate spiritual information have spread the idea that astral projection is dangerous because the silver core could break.
And I would understand why people worry,
Especially if they are new.
But hey,
This is not real,
It doesn't break at all.
In more than 14 years of spiritual practice and teaching,
And with my own experience of astral travel since childhood,
I've never encountered a credible case of the silver cord being severed during astral projections.
If fear arises during an astral experience,
Actually you return instantly to the physical body.
This may feel abrupt,
Heavy or uncomfortable,
But it's not dangerous.
And the chord here is not failing,
It is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
Now,
At the moment of natural physical death the silver core dissolves,
This is not astral projection.
It only belongs to the permanent living of the physical body.
From a spiritual view,
The body has completed its journey,
And the soul no longer needs the temporary physical anchor.
The silver core also appears across different traditions.
In theosophy,
It connected with the sutratma,
The life thread.
Modern out-of-body researches describe it as a recurring feature in many experiences.
Shamanic traditions speak of life threads or spirit ropes during journeys to the other worlds.
Different names,
But the same core meaning.
Consciousness remains connected to the body through a sacred life thread.
So a few myths that are important to clear.
You do not need to see the court for astral projection to be real.
No entity can look at it.
The court does not limit how far you can travel.
As the reaction does not wear it out little by little.
What matters is approaching the practice with calmness,
Grounding and spiritual protection,
As well as respect for your own energy.
So remember,
The silver core is not a mystery to fear,
It is a promise of a connection.
If links the physical body and astral body while you are alive.
It gives you consciousness and a safe return to a safe path.
It cannot be broken during astral projection and it only dissolves at natural physical death.
