Welcome to this cleansing morning meditation.
How blessed we are to see another day.
So let's start this day on a beautiful note.
Really tapping into what a blessing it is to have this experience that we call life.
Take in a deep breath through your nose,
Like it is your first breath.
And keep doing that a few times,
Just exploring what the breath feels like.
Noticing how your body changes or if it changes at all.
Maybe you're waking up more with this fresh oxygen.
Maybe you're relaxing more if you've already had a bit of a morning.
We spend most of our time in doing mode,
Treating everything like an end to a mean,
A means to an end.
We don't spend much time,
Or at least I can speak for myself,
In being mode.
So time like this is so welcome by our body and spirit.
Imagine sitting next to a stream,
As the water gently runs down the stream.
And you're here,
Breathing,
Being,
Observing.
Not just observing nature,
But somehow,
Somewhere,
Recognizing that you're just an extension of nature.
Nature sitting next to nature.
In this place,
Thoughts flow by just like the water does.
There's no stagnation here,
No resistance either.
It's just seen for what it is.
Thoughts are no different than heartbeats.
Of course we all prefer the so-called positive thoughts over the negative ones,
Because they provide a more enjoyable experience.
But this resistance to the negative ones enforces them and makes them behave a little bit worse.
If we are to just see all thoughts for having their place,
For passing down the streams as leaves do,
The lighter leaves,
The darker leaves,
The big leaves,
The small leaves,
All just leaves part of nature.
The angry thoughts,
The happy thoughts,
The jealous thoughts,
The peaceful thoughts,
All just leaves part of nature.
And again,
Taking a deep breath like it is your first one.
Noticing how both the breath and the stream cleanse you so perfectly this morning.
Cleansing you of things that have become stagnant,
That we did resist.
But not from a bad place,
Just because we did not know how to deal with it.
This morning,
The leaves just flow.
There's nothing wrong with looking at leaves that you enjoy a little bit closer.
So if there's a leaf of gratitude for being alive,
And maybe seeing that leaf or that thought makes you feel a certain way.
Feeling that gratitude all in your body.
We don't need to become these empty vessels that don't feel anything,
That control their thoughts or think that they can.
We can be with both,
The pleasant and the unpleasant.
See what they're both trying to tell us,
For it is nothing that has gone wrong.
Take a look at your own stream within.
Observe what is here right now.
What needs some attention.
What wants to be seen.
And just compassionately,
With no judgement,
Take a good look.
This is you spending time with yourself,
In an almost childlike,
Curious way.
Very gentle,
Gliding through your inner waters.
Let's just take a moment to set the intention for today.
What's your intention for today?
Is it to love more?
To be more self-compassionate?
To trust your body?
To trust life?
To trust that you're supported?
What is it for you today?
What is your intention for today?
Set it now.
I trust that as I go through my day,
Spreading love in whatever way that I can,
In non-forceful ways.
As in not forcing myself to do anything.
Just doing what feels natural.
I trust that will also reflect in my own life.
For there is no separation between you and the stream.
Have a beautiful day.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Much love.
