A Life Changing List - To Stop Worrying

I put together a list for people like me who can get trapped in worrying about the future. Creating a list like this and looking at it daily is guaranteed to change your life. This was a video I recorded for social media (hence some visual references) - but I thought you lovely people on Insight Timer would appreciate it too. Much love, Felix

I see this a lot that people are so crippled by the fears of the future of what might happen that they can't enjoy this precious moment and their life just passes them by and they live in this constant state of fear and constantly live in their mind anxiously anticipating what might happen and they can't enjoy the now and I think that's that's a massive shame and I've been like that too and I am like that too so I know what it feels like and I put together a little list that might help you to create your own list of just as a reminder to change your perspective and you can look at that every single day a few times if you need and then over time your perspective will shift and you'll be so much more in the present moment hopefully and I know this is very hard especially right now with the world being a little bit turbulent and you know it's a really tough time for a lot of people and as the world as a whole it's a lot of things are changing so I put together this list I'll share it with you and you can then take from that what you want and hopefully that will help you so the first thing that I put on there is I have my practice to ground me so that is my meditation practice that I do 10 minutes a day I'm not really going to explain all of them I'm just going to say them out for you and then you can maybe comment if you want me to expand on any of those I have my practice to ground me all emotions are there to keep me safe and to thrive I do want to say something on that one so do I have something my teeth maybe anyway let me just take a sip of tea to cleanse that's still quite hot I'm not too bad with hot tea by the way I don't know if you are but anyway yeah so I will never really feel so when I feel overwhelmed by intense emotions that are going to be there if I'm in a situation that is a bit intense or that I'm really worried about I can remind myself here all emotions are just there to keep me safe and to thrive they're not my enemy they're there to help me right so that's that's really helpful and then I can do different techniques to be with the emotions like you know the stuff that I do in my coaching and in my meditations just guiding myself through that having learned the skill I can do that so that's amazing and that's something you can you can look into I'm sure you have something already anyway but um yeah then I serve I serve those that need me I act in accordance with love I act in accordance with love and I trust that I'll always be supported and provided for I trust that I will find solutions to all my problems I have faith that if I act in accordance with love I will always find solutions to my problems and just simply holding that perspective is just so much more powerful than being like oh my god how am I going to be able to cope what am I going to do but instead just holding that plate no I always find solutions to my problems maybe not straight away but I have faith and I trust that if I put my energy into that I will always find solutions already feels so good to just say that you know I already feel like a little mini anxiety that was there just now has just dropped a little bit so and then you know put all these points together read them every single day and it's just you know you're on for a winner doesn't mean doesn't mean we don't get thrown off right because we are human so it's like that that's gonna happen it's not gonna be all bliss but these kind of things help a little bit so that's why I'm sharing it with you now the next one is I'm connected with amazing people that help me when I need I'm not just I'm not just in this alone right and I wrote another thing here which I quite like um I'm never alone amazing people are around me and the universe is within me damn damn I saw a quote when I was walking someone said like don't don't feel lonely the whole universe is within you then the next one is I grow and get better every single day so I don't just need to rely on the perceived skills that I have right now and think oh but I can't do this right now how am I going to be able to do that well I can do that because I grow every single day and I get better every single day and I ask people to learn stuff and I learn stuff and I have a goddamn phone with Google and YouTube or whatever I end up using I end up using and I grow and get better every single day I learn from my experiences I I look at knows as next opportunity I don't look at failure as failure look at it as as a way to learn and then by that logic I want to fail over and over again I don't fear the failure I don't just I just want to stay in my comfort zone I don't want to grow no I grow every single day and get better every single day and I'd be lying if I said that's my mentality every single day sometimes I'm in that comfort zone you know that's my but this is my intention then the next thing is that I'm grateful for just a second or a moment just for one more moment just for just this right now thank you thank you so much and I hope you're too I hope you're grateful for this moment too you know and it's like okay maybe some bullshit is gonna go down in my life some bullshit it's gonna go down in my life or maybe I will not live until I'm 85 or 120 but I'm just grateful for another moment and then it's like whatever's going on I well I've got another moment that's pretty that's pretty that's pretty sweet that's pretty sweet and that takes me to the next point which is quite a deep one let me just try the tea I want to see if we're if we're ready excuse if the cup is a little bit um how do you say it not the cleanest but you know I don't I don't need to hide anything I'm growing every single day maybe next time the cup will be sparkling clean tea's good rosemary fennel and licorice that's the game changer by the way not for this list but oh maybe for this list no um buying dried licorice root unless you've got hypertension then maybe it's not the best thing for you but dried licorice root and just adding that with any of your teas it's just a nice little sweetness and it's um takes it to to another level at least I feel for me for my taste buds the deep point is drink licorice every single day no the deep point is that all of this is just an illusion there is no me and there is no you and all of this is kind of just it's all the same thing it's all energy it's all like I guess everything and nothing at the same time and nothing at the same time so so people who talk about non-duality although that in itself right it's already been like I'm not going to get into that but um they say what this is is nothing let me just have a look I think I wrote it down sounds better than what I was going to say now nothing apparently happening how could I forget that nothing apparently happening so it's like what are this what we see is happening like you know you can pinch yourself and that that's happening you can get run over by a car that's happening if you're suffering you're you know you're suffering apparently um like you can't deny that you know that that seems to be real but if you peel back the layers a little bit is there really such a thing as you and a chair is that really a chair or is that just you know just energy collected in a specific location that appears to us as a chair so we say oh that's a chair that's a tree you know but going deeper it's all kind of a bit of an illusion and that helps me to realize that if I'm just like oh my god this is so terrible why is this happening I can't bear this be like well this isn't really this you know what I mean so for me that's helpful maybe for you that's just like what is he on about I just had no no clue what I just heard there and I wish I didn't hear it well you heard it so yeah and then you know with that understanding or that reflection it's like just enjoy this just have fun don't take it too serious um yeah just enjoy it just have fun it's not really what it seems I think we can say that with certainty right whatever we experience is not really oh voice is going is not really what it seems and I think that's all of my list I don't want to want to keep you for too long let me just look over quickly someone else is calling for their mama down there yeah every moment is a gift oh every moment is a gift and I don't take it too serious but I enjoy it and I appreciate it and um you know I'm I acknowledge their emotions I don't ignore them I don't push them away but I do realize that they have their purpose and their function and I'm I hold space for them I say oh I hear you this is how you feel this is within me right now and um that seems to be quite a healthy way of going about it so I hope this is useful maybe share some points with me that are helpful for you and um yeah I'm excited to see like how this list is gonna play out in my life and I'm gonna definitely gonna recommend it to the people I work with to create a list like this Thank you for sharing your list. I will need to listen again - I forgot everything after you touched on the concept of ‘just being’ - this is something I always struggle to grasp. I certainly feel I need to look into this more to gain a clearer understanding.

One of your beautiful reminders on your list resonated with me & it goes something like this - I am never lonely as the universe is living inside me - it brought me a little pain within as I was writing it down - I feel that when I AM living in the external world I do feel lonely - but all will be fine when I enter my internal & spiritual world, where loneliness does not exists because only love, freedom and solace are found there🤍❤️🕊️🔆. It is a very safe place for me to live in and the best place for my BE-ing to thrive🙏🏻.
