I receive that.
A declaration and an affirmation.
Throughout our days we receive so many messages on a conscious and subconscious level.
Whether it be through social media,
Our peers,
Or loved ones.
We are inundated with messages about ourselves that can have a powerful impact on our self-confidence and self-esteem.
Throughout this practice however,
I invite you to notice the messages that you have internalized about yourself.
What are the things that you tell yourself?
And how do you speak to yourself?
What we see and receive has the power to uplift us or tear us down.
So it is of great importance we cultivate a practice that allows and empowers us to be our own source of validation.
So let's practice.
Let's practice being intentional with what we receive by first giving to ourselves what it is that we need.
Closing our eyes only if that feels right for you.
Inhaling,
Exhaling and relaxing our brows.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Relaxing our jaws.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Relaxing our shoulders.
Continuing this breath,
Moving down our body.
Taking a moment just to check in with how we're feeling in this moment.
Noticing any points of tension or tightness.
And continuing to inhale and exhale.
Placing our left hands on our hearts and our right hands over our stomachs.
Connecting ourselves to our truths,
Our core,
Our spirits,
Our soul.
That inner spaciousness that carries compassion,
Kindness and love.
And so how this practice will go is I will say you are.
And you will say I am and I receive that.
So for the first affirmation,
I will say you are beautiful.
And you can say out loud or silently to yourself,
I am beautiful and I receive that.
Let's continue to practice.
You are radiant and full of life.
I am radiant and full of life and I receive that.
You are so unique and a gift to this world.
I am so unique and a gift to this world and I receive that.
You make such a difference in this world.
I make such a difference in this world and I receive that.
Even on your worst days,
You are still your best.
Even on my worst days,
I am still my best and I receive that.
You are a blessing in the lives of others.
I am a blessing in the lives of others and I receive that.
You are so brave for making a change in your life.
I am so brave for making a change in my life and I receive that.
You are beautiful just the way you are.
I am beautiful just the way I am and I receive that.
You are perfect just the way you are.
I am perfect just the way I am and I receive that.
You are enough just the way you are.
I am enough just the way I am and I receive that.
Taking a deep inhale in through the nose and letting it all go through the mouth.
Continuing to hold ourselves here.
We will repeat those affirmations again,
But this time I will only say,
You are.
And you will continue with the I am and I receive that.
You are beautiful.
You are radiant and full of life.
You are so unique and a gift to this world.
You make such a difference in this world.
Even on your worst days,
You are still your best.
You are a blessing in the lives of others.
You are so brave for making a change in your life.
You are beautiful just the way you are.
You are perfect just the way you are.
You are enough just the way you are.
Taking a few moments here just to allow those words to find a place in your mind,
In your body,
And in your soul.
Noticing what feelings may arise,
Where your mind wanders to,
And what it feels like to affirm yourself.
I invite you now to give to yourself whatever it is that you are needing in this moment.
Receive what it is that you have to offer to yourself.
What words need to be said?
What is it that you wish to feel and experience?
And with every affirmation that we speak over ourselves,
Saying,
I receive that afterwards.
What quality,
What energy is needed that needs to be cultivated in your life that can bring you closer to the person that you are desiring to become?
What is needed to bring you closer to your truth?
Continuing to breathe and continuing to be.
Showering ourselves here with love and with kindness and with compassion.
Receiving is just half the battle.
Releasing and believing is part and parcel with this practice.
Do you believe the words that you said?
Are you releasing the words you've spoken to yourself in the past?
And can you take a moment right here and right now to be grateful for who it is that you are and all that you are in this very moment?
Taking a deep inhale in through the nose.
Letting it all go through the mouth.
As this practice comes to an end.
Becoming present back into our bodies,
Back into the room.
Noticing any sounds or any sensations.
Inviting movement back into our hands and into our toes.
And whatever feels right for you slowly and gently opening your eyes.
