Welcome.

Sit or lie down in a position where you're comfortable.

If you need to adjust in any way,

Just to make yourself more comfortable,

Now's a great time to do so.

Feel free to really get cozy,

Wrap yourself under a warm blanket or put some comfy pillows under your back,

Whatever makes you most comfortable.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and let it go.

You are in a place of safeness and warmth.

There may be a storm pouring outside,

But right now you're inside in a protected place away from everything that's pouring.

Take another big breath in and let it go.

Scan your body for any place of tension.

Scan your body for any place of tension.

Where is it?

Where do you find it?

Where inside are you holding on to the storm?

Find just one place of tension and then let yourself really feel it.

What does it feel like inside of your body,

That tension?

Really focus on it.

And then let it go.

Ask your body to just let go of it.

Check back in.

Do you feel any remnants of that tension,

That tension that's taking up space in your body,

That place of tension that's made a home where it's not welcome?

And if you still feel that tension there,

Ask yourself to let it go again.

Ask yourself to let it go.

How does it feel as you let that tension go?

Do you feel stronger?

Do you have feelings of resistance and anger?

The goal is attention free and stress free life,

But it can be a learning experience to realize how difficult it can be to give yourself permission to let it be,

To just let yourself be free.

Feel great.

Why do you hold on to the storms in your life?

Do you feel any resistance to letting it go?

How do you separate yourself from this tension that you're holding on to?

Because this tension is not you.

How do you let it go?

And bring your focus to the sound.

The sound of rain falling and the storm.

The sound of everything around you.

The sound of rain falling and the storm.

The sound of everything around you.

The thing about storms is that you can hear them.

You can hear them without being in them.

All that sound is just whirling around you.

But it's not you.

It was never you.

It's just sound.

It's only noise.

It's not you.

It's not part of you.

It's separate.

It's outside.

Like being warm and cozy on your couch on a rainy day.

Hearing the raindrops.

And knowing that you have no chance of getting wet.

That you're safe inside.

Storms aren't threatening when you find a safe space within it.

And not overwhelming when you create your own place of peace.

So whenever you start to hear the first sign of a storm,

Come back to this safe space you've just created.

You've created it.

Now you just need to choose to come back.

Take one last deep breath.

And let it go.

And whenever you're ready,

Slowly let your eyes flutter open.

And listen to the sounds inside and outside your room.

Come back to your body,

Waking up from this meditation.

And go forward in peace.

Namaste.
